Great idea, easy to use, and it automatically switches to the font of your website! Since Wix doesn't have a typewriter animation yet, this is such an amazing app! 5/5

on the free version, able to change font and design, speed, and add/customize new strings. it's unfortunate for the people saying it doesn't work. glad it works for me.

Does not work

I upgraded to Premium to access the features I needed, but it still does not work. Cannot change the text either

The Typerwriter Animation worked Perfectly!

When I downloaded the application I was able to change the starting text on the main screen, and all the listed items by pressing "manage strings" and refreshing my screen. Took me about 3 minutes to get it on my site!

Doesn't work

Not sure what's going on, but the editor never pops up, and it just doesn't work.

Loads with "Go to settings" text on my published site

After I figured out how to customize it and designed everything around it, once Published, while the widget loads, it shows "Go to settings pop up to edit text" before displaying my actual animated text. Looks very unprofessional and will need to trash it unless someone can send me a fix asap.

Updated Review: Works Nicely

The text animation is lovely. For the most part, it's customizable to fit the look of my website. I wanted to make multiples, but copied and pasted from one page to another, and thought I couldn't make a different set of strings. When I deleted the copied element and added the typewriter effect to the new page, I was able to make a new sentence with new strings. It's great!

I've added the typewriter widget to my website and when I follow the instruction to change the type/colour etc when I to go to Settings all I get is an error message rtelling me to contact customer care

Amazing but one request

Any way to add a function to add a pause at the end of animation loop? For example, I just want it to type out something once. When I toggle off "Cycle through strings indefinitely" it just blinks over and over instead of just letting the typewritten text be static. This would be a great fix for when you want the typed out text to stay on the screen after it has been typed! Thanks for considering!

Default strings can't be deleted

Animation is good but I can't delete the default strings. Please help.

As far as i can tell, the only thing missing from this app is the ability to input the time it takes before the backspacing occurs... a slight pause or time til deletion occurs would complete this program. I'm on my knees... i've spent 20 hours trying to get my iframe to scale, and finally switched over to this app. i believe in you.

Cannot edit pre-loaded strings

Seems everyone's noting the same issue that the pre-loaded strings cannot be edited. Yes I can view them in the "Setitngs" popup > "Strings to cycle", but it does not let me delete/edit anything once a string is added, including pre-loaded strings. The animation is exactly what I need but it's hard to use this without functioning editing ability.

The app is very good

I need help. The app is good, but when I first enter the page (try bluerabbit.co), a white text appears for a few seconds, and it looks really bad. How do you change the text content

How do you change the text content that is typed out? I double click and change the actual text box but it does not change what is typed out.

Typewriter app doesn't work. You cannot click on "Settings" to add your own text.

This Typewriter app isn't working correctly. You cannot click on "Settings" as it indicates, thus you cannot add your own text. This is obviously a problem, considering many people are saying the same thing. Is anyone at Wix going to fix this???

You can't edit the text

The settings box doesn't give you the option to change the text. This doesn't work. Same as all the other reviews. Can someone advise?

I also tried this on Wix editor and there is no pop up for changing the settings. You can't edit the text or change anything beyond the default message. Useless.

Does not work with Wix Editor

Tried this on Wix Editor and it does not work. I followed instructions and tried to click on the Settings button on the widget itself but did not get any popup window to enter text. I know it is the widget since I was able to connect a dataset and the text appeared on the text box before the default message on where to edit the text. Can't figure out how to change the default text message.

Very Specific Use Case

This app writes out whatever you tell it to write, and than immediately backspaces it all. Useful, but not what I wanted it to do. I wanted it to type and than just be done, but it doesn't appear to be able to do that. If you want it to type and cycle through multiple lines of text, this is a good option. If you want any other kind of typewriter animation, though, this ain't it chief.

I tried the App: the use is quite complicated at the beginning, the the app ist nicely writing bit erasing the text backwards. Did not find a way to keep the written on the webpage ...
