The Currency Converter detects each visitor’s currency, calculates live conversions, and displays them beside (or in replacement of) your original prices — no coding required. You can also fix the display to a single currency, such as EUR, to comply with dual-pricing or regional requirements (ideal for stores transitioning to the Euro). Every detail is customizable — text color, size, font, position, format, and precision — so the converter blends perfectly with your design. With 160+ supported currencies and rates refreshed every three hours, your prices are always accurate. Setup takes minutes — once installed, it works automatically across your site. Choose between two modes: • Automatic mode (Pro plan): detects the visitor’s currency and adds the converted price next to (or in replacement of) your existing prices on all pages. • Manual mode (Free plan): adds a customizable converter widget with up-to-date exchange rates allowing visitors to easily view price conversions themselves.

A good solid app that works, plus excellent customer service
The app has a lot of customization options and works pretty seamlessly on the site. It is not intrusive, and its automatic conversion is great if you have customers in multiple countries. The paid plan is very affordable and is totally worth it. I've been on the lookout for something like this for a while, so I am delighted to have found it! Furthermore, the customer service is wonderful. I left some constructive feedback previously, which was responded to immediately, with genuine care and attention by Olivier. If you are undecided, give the 14-day trial a try; setup is simple and easy. Plus, you can manage everything from the dashboard with no complicated editing. Literally no reason not to install this app if you have a Wix store!

Waste of money
I bought pro version. It dosn't work. App adds a empty frame with a loading error message. It seem that is a common problem. At the top of the list in FAQ page. So, they know it will not work properly. I sent two messages to support with screen shoots. Team dont aswer.

Hi, We received your support request and answered a few hours after receipt (on 8/24/25 at 12:31 pm). Auto-conversion was not working because you had not turned it on in the settings. We did this for you, checked that all was well on your site and sent you a screen shot of your prices being converted normally. Also, from our FAQ, are you are looking at your site from a country where the currency is the same as the currency of your prices? If you are, then the conversion is not needed since your currency and the store currency are the same, so nothing is shown at all. You can force the showing of a conversion by choosing 'Test Mode > ON' in your settings. This allows you to see what the conversion will look like for foreign visitors.

I want my site's currency to automatically change after detecting visitor's location. This will help wix recommend relevant payment method to them at checkout. eg. PayPal to U.S.A and M-Pesa to Kenyan users.

Doesn't work on mobile
Don't install this app! For one it only works on desktop. And when you delete the app, it leaves code behind that then interferes with your prices! I'll remove this review if they can tell me how to remove the code left behind!

Hello, In answer to your comments: (1) the app works fine on mobiles. You may not have seen it when testing because mobile browsers have aggressive caching and you most likely were looking at a version of your site from before the installation of the Currency Converter app. If you clear your mobile cache you will see the app working normally. (2) uninstallation is done by Wix, not by us, so we have no control over this process. I will be happy to contact them on your behalf though. However, this is a review board, not our support form, so I don't have your information. Could you please contact us at support@thecurrencyconverter.app with the URL of your site? We will get this resolved as soon as we hear from you. Note that we would have provided the same support (albeit faster because we would have had the necessary info) if you had simply contacted us via our support form

Hello, After installing you need to configure the converter. The defaults are basic so it's possible that it does not match your site out of the box. Hello, we just checked the app and are unable to reproduce this issue. Would you be using a browser plugin like AdBlock by any chance? These plugins don't play nice with Wix Apps as they interact with the way they are loaded. If you pause AdBlock you should be able to install with no problem. If this is not the issue we will be happy to look into it (and give you two months of free Pro service for your trouble). This is the app I've needed! It allows you to display the converted currencies on the website as advertised. The support team is super helpful as well! Definitely worth the cost for the upgrade!

Doesn't display shop currency
It just adds a calculator to the site, I was looking for an app that would actually display the shop stores in the customer currency. Additionally it doesn't have an uninstall button

Hello, The calculator is an option and you do not have to use it. Another option is 'automated conversion', which is what you are looking for. If you want to send us an email at support@thecurrencyconverter.app with the URL of your site and I will guide you through configuration. Regarding the second issue, the app uninstalls like any other Wix app: go to your Wix Dashboard, click on 'manage app' then click on the Currency Converter app and choose 'uninstall'. Remember, we are available at support@thecurrencyconverter.app for any questions at any time.

Best app right now for currency conversion - great team too
Wix offers limited options for currency display on your website so this app is a great workaround - out of all of the ones available it's the only one that works on checkout. Their text / $ detection in paragraph has also improve. The team is super responsive and will help you with any issues you may have.

This issue is most likely related to a browser plugin that interferes with Wix apps. Adblock is a common culprit. Could you check for this and contact us at support@thecurrencyconverter.app if you need further assistance?

Great App and helpful team
The App is exactly what I'm looking for and it's now working perfect. At first there was some minor issues, but resolved soon after I report them. The support team was very professional and helpful. They replied each of my email within 12 hours and worked out with a solution soon after.

Refuses to work properly with CFP Francs due to Wix code errors
Contacted WIX Customer Care but fellow who called back had no idea except to say "weird". He "escalated" the support process but still waiting for reply from Wix after 10 days. Tried several more calls to Wix...no call backs. Promises, promises. Thanks go to the admin at Web Tracking Services who saw this initial review and contacted us. Olivier tried every work around he could and after another 10 days he decided it was definitely a WIX ISSUE and contacted them. They refused his advice and sent a message for me to contact Wix yet again! Still waiting for WIX to fix. Pro Trial has almost expired. so we cannot pay for this service, sadly. Web Stat were terrific and this rating is for them!

I am sorry for the issue you experienced. For issues having to do with an app you need to contact us directly. Wix support does not handle apps at all, which is why they could not help you (but they should have told you that!)

Hello, Like most apps in the Wix app market, the Currency Converter has a free level and then a paid level if you need additional services. The free level works just fine and can be used for as long as you want. I am not sure where the confusion comes from since this is (I think) clearly shown in the app description. If you could get back to us at support@currencyxchange.co, we will amend anything that you may have found confusing.

What an important and good app
These guys have given a very useful tool that is easy to work with and very helpful. Their extensive settings section makes it nicely versatile so that one can really get what one's looking for. Wix needs to give them access to the mini cart + checkout, etc pages' settings as well. That will take Wix' a notch.

Fast response of the support and custom changes made for us
The response of the support team was very fast and they did a custom change for us in the app to see the double currency prices. I recommend using the app and if you want something custom for you, just email them like we did and they did have the solution for us.

I added the automatic currency converter to my Wix Website. I was not sure of how to check how the conversion looked when clients log in from other countries, so I contacted support, which was just a link a way when I was configuring the app. I got an immediate reply back with a screen shot of how my page looked from another country. Excellent service, and so nice with the personal touch when so much computerized! Warmly recommend this app.

Hello, If you are located in the same country as your store the conversion is not needed since your currency and the store currency are the same, so nothing is shown at all. You can still see how it looks by using the 'Test Mode' option in your settings. It will force the display of a "conversion" even though the store and your own currency are the same. If this is not your issue please contact us at support@currencyxchange.co: we can certainly make the app work for you (see the other reviews). As to canceling the app, we do not know who you are (the reviews are anonymous) so the easiest would be, again, to contact us with your web site URL. Our email: support@currencyxchange.co
