   Doesn't work on mobile

   Don't install this app! For one it only works on desktop. And when you delete the app, it leaves code behind that then interferes with your prices! I'll remove this review if they can tell me how to remove the code left behind!

      Hello, In answer to your comments: (1) the app works fine on mobiles. You may not have seen it when testing because mobile browsers have aggressive caching and you most likely were looking at a version of your site from before the installation of the Currency Converter app. If you clear your mobile cache you will see the app working normally. (2) uninstallation is done by Wix, not by us, so we have no control over this process. I will be happy to contact them on your behalf though. However, this is a review board, not our support form, so I don't have your information. Could you please contact us at support@thecurrencyconverter.app with the URL of your site? We will get this resolved as soon as we hear from you. Note that we would have provided the same support (albeit faster because we would have had the necessary info) if you had simply contacted us via our support form

      Hello, we just checked the app and are unable to reproduce this issue. Would you be using a browser plugin like AdBlock by any chance? These plugins don't play nice with Wix Apps as they interact with the way they are loaded. If you pause AdBlock you should be able to install with no problem. If this is not the issue we will be happy to look into it (and give you two months of free Pro service for your trouble).    Doesn't display shop currency

   It just adds a calculator to the site, I was looking for an app that would actually display the shop stores in the customer currency. Additionally it doesn't have an uninstall button

      Hello, The calculator is an option and you do not have to use it. Another option is 'automated conversion', which is what you are looking for. If you want to send us an email at support@thecurrencyconverter.app with the URL of your site and I will guide you through configuration. Regarding the second issue, the app uninstalls like any other Wix app: go to your Wix Dashboard, click on 'manage app' then click on the Currency Converter app and choose 'uninstall'. Remember, we are available at support@thecurrencyconverter.app for any questions at any time.

   Refuses to work properly with CFP Francs due to Wix code errors

   Contacted WIX Customer Care but fellow who called back had no idea except to say "weird". He "escalated" the support process but still waiting for reply from Wix after 10 days. Tried several more calls to Wix...no call backs. Promises, promises. Thanks go to the admin at Web Tracking Services who saw this initial review and contacted us. Olivier tried every work around he could and after another 10 days he decided it was definitely a WIX ISSUE and contacted them. They refused his advice and sent a message for me to contact Wix yet again! Still waiting for WIX to fix. Pro Trial has almost expired. so we cannot pay for this service, sadly. Web Stat were terrific and this rating is for them!

      I am sorry for the issue you experienced. For issues having to do with an app you need to contact us directly. Wix support does not handle apps at all, which is why they could not help you (but they should have told you that!)

      Hello, Like most apps in the Wix app market, the Currency Converter has a free level and then a paid level if you need additional services. The free level works just fine and can be used for as long as you want. I am not sure where the confusion comes from since this is (I think) clearly shown in the app description. If you could get back to us at support@currencyxchange.co, we will amend anything that you may have found confusing.

      Hello, If you are located in the same country as your store the conversion is not needed since your currency and the store currency are the same, so nothing is shown at all. You can still see how it looks by using the 'Test Mode' option in your settings. It will force the display of a "conversion" even though the store and your own currency are the same. If this is not your issue please contact us at support@currencyxchange.co: we can certainly make the app work for you (see the other reviews). As to canceling the app, we do not know who you are (the reviews are anonymous) so the easiest would be, again, to contact us with your web site URL. Our email: support@currencyxchange.co

   Not a very good app

   Although, easy to install and set up. Instructions are comprehensive, but the auto converter doesn't respond on live site. Maybe i'm doing something wrong? I don't know but I just removed it. Maybe there is a better app out there.

      Hello, I am sorry you had difficulties with the app. Would you please send us an email at support@currencyxchange.co? We will help you with installation and make sure that the converter is working to your satisfaction (if you look at the other comments you can see that the app works well and most people are very happy with it.) PS/ a common issue is that if you are located in the same country as you store, the conversion is not needed (since your currency and the store currency are the same), so nothing is shown at all. Sometimes when this happens people think that the app is not working, when in fact it is. In this case, you can use the 'Test Mode' option in your settings. It will force the display of a "conversion" even though the store and your own currency are the same.

Did you set the 'auto-conversion' option to 'ON'?

    price shows next to original price. it should automatically convert the price to their currency not show two prices on the website. very poor work of the team.

       Hello, We could definitely do what you suggest but that would be inviting trouble. The customer is going to be charged in your store's currency. NOT in his own currency. Because of fluctuations in the exchange rates (and possibly foreign exchange bank fees) the price he will pay in his own currency will not be EXACTLY the converted price. The conversion is meant as a help for your customer. It is not going to be the EXACT price that he will pay in his currency. For that reason we add it next to the original price. Not as a replacement. I hope this makes sense. If not, feel free to write to us at support@currencyxchange.co and if you have a very specific need that changes the facts stated above, we'll be happy to add an option in the settings for the app. Also, if you feel that this answer makes sense, we'd be grateful if you could review your rating (but that's entirely up to you!)

    Confused

    I am a bit confused as I used to have a currency converter on my eshop. But since I have changed my main language, it is just showing me one currency and I am not able to have something else than € Now I have tried to download your app but it is saying I cannot access it because I have to upgrade to PRO version.     Currency Converter or Calculator?

    First its just a bad display on my website It when to the main screen and I thought it would go directly to the pricing page and do the Currency converter so people could see the difference from their location but its just a calculator I mean I paid the full year for nothing, people can do the conversion with their own calculator .... your app sucks I like to get my money back....

    Shouldn't this be called currency calculator ?

    I thought this app would allow customers to see the product prices (on the product page) in their own currency regardless of what the store currency is. But this box seems to work as a currency calculator. Am I doing something wrong here ? thx

Regarding your question: it is not yet possible to automatically update the prices in your store. We are working with Wix on this and hope to be able to offer it soon. So as of now, the Currency Converter is indeed a currency calculator with rates updated every 2 hours. We make no other claim, so I am not sure why the 2-star rating?

       Hello, We answered your message an hour after receiving it. For some reason you did not get our email. Could you check your SPAM folder in case it is there? Regarding your question: you have a Premium Wix account. This does not cover upgrades to apps. The Currency Converter is an independent app that we offer for Wix sites. To get the Premium functions on the converter you have to upgrade the app itself (see http://converter.web-stat.com/wix_upgrade_currency.htm). Wix Premium and the Premium version of apps are different things and unrelated. I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if not (you can write at wix@web-stat.com and we will answer within a few hours. If you do not get an answer, please provide an alternate email for us to reach you).

    Does not work

    BEWARE - This app does NOT show a new product price, it is just a calculator. I used it for 15 minutes and realized this so I asked for a refund. They ignore that but ask for me to remove my negative review. Updated: April 7, 2020. STILL no refund or resolution. Even more reason to NOT trust this APP & Wix.

       Hi. In answer to the two issues you raised: 1) The app works normally and your comment is unfair: we make no claim to be able to auto-initialize the converter with an individual product price, and we do not make such claim because it can not be done. Wix gives us no way to read that information off your page. We have been trying very hard to get them to develop an API for that purpose, but it's not available (yet)... So without knowing the price, we can not initialize the starting amount. The converter is indeed a calculator, but a calculator with all currencies exchange rates integrated and updated every two hours. And it works just fine. 2) You are asking us for a refund, but we are not the ones charging you. All we do is run the technical aspects of the app. Wix is billing you for it, and they are the ones you need to talk to. If necessary, you can contact us at wix@web-stat.com (we sent this to you previously) and we will help you get a refund from Wix.

    No Integration - No Functionality without Paying - Limited Design Control

    Was really hoping this would integrate with the cart. It doesn't, it's just a currency converter embed, which you can find free anywhere, even unbranded versions.

       Hello. I am sorry the app disappointed you. We can not integrate with the cart because we do not have access to the Wix data on your product pages. Unfortunately without that access we do not know the price of a given product. If we did have access we would definitely have integrated!

       Hello, Just to follow up on this: we have been in touch via email. After looking at your site we found out that the app was working fine but seemed to appear on the wrong spot on your page. This is a Wix editor app placement issue and not directly related to the app itself. You would need to position the app relative to other elements on your product page instead of using the absolute positioning you currently have. We also offered to do this for you if you would send us a site contributor invite. Let me know if we can help further.

    Price In Local Currency

    I must have been mistaken to install this app so my customers see the price in their local currency. Unfortunately, this is not what I want. Is there anyway to get a refund? I haven't used for even 30 minutes.

       Hello, this feature is available: if your account is upgraded, you will find it in 'Settings' under 'auto-detect'. Set it to 'yes' and the visitor's currency will be used automatically.     Echec de cette application

    Après plusieurs tentatives en plusieurs jours et même après avoir booster cette appli est très peu performante. Elle apparaît et disparaît de la page, les réglages sont constament à reprogrammé ainsi que le design. Un soutien technique véritable serait vraiment BIENVENUE!

       Hello, We do not claim that the Currency Converter is free. All currencies are available for free, but setting the default amounts and currencies requires a premium version. This is stated in the features page of the app (https://www.wix.com/app-market/currency-converter/features). As to the rates they are updated daily.

       Hello, We try to add as many currencies as possible to the converter but unfortunately we depend on a third party to provide us with reliable, up-to-date exchange rates. In this case the third party is unable to process TRY (Turkish Lira) and we are therefore unable to add it. We apologize for this shortcoming!

    I was hoping it would the app would also change the currency throughout my web store.

    I downloaded the plugin to test, hoping it would connect to the actual currency prices/amounts displayed throughout my web store. I haven't paid for the upgrade yet because it is no good to me if my customer cannot change from Australian Dollars to their local currency and have it also change throughout my store. Is this something that the upgrade is capable of? Or, is it just a currency converter in the original plugin box? https://www.bohemiantravelwear.com

       Hello, The converter operates independently of your store and is not capable to automatically convert your product's amounts on your page. Sorry about this... I just thought I'd clarify.

       That function was available for free at the time. We have now included all the currencies into the free version.

    Please, do better!

    It is a good app, but could be better. Here are some ideas to improve: add the option to appear the sentences in other languages (Portuguese, for example); add the option to modify the layout and design; be able to select the currencies that will appear and be able to write the value of the currency you want (not just the commercial option).
