Beware Before Using Ecwid on Wix
I recently closed my Ecwid online store after they removed the free plan — I was fine with that part. However, after closing my account, I found it impossible to completely delete their app from my Wix site. They make the removal process extremely difficult, and it feels like Ecwid might still be collecting data and client information from my website without consent. Be aware of this before signing up!

Hello! Thank you for your feedback! The Ecwid app can be removed like any other app on Wix. The only difference is that the app must be removed from the Wix Editor. Here are the steps to remove the app, starting from the Wix dashboard. If you are already in the Website Editor, you can start at step 4. 1) Go to Apps → Manage Apps. 2) Click the arrow next to the Ecwid app (More app actions). 3) Click Delete app — you will be prompted to open the Website Editor. 4) In the Website Editor, go to Add Apps → Manage Apps, then click the arrow next to the Ecwid app. 5) Click Delete app. 6) Leave feedback if you wish, and confirm app deletion.

If you'd like to remove Ecwid from Wix, all you need to do is remove the Ecwid app from Wix: 1. Go to your Wix Admin > Apps > Manage Apps. 2. Click "…" near Online store. 3. Click Delete. That's it. After that, you won't see the Ecwid store on your Wix website. Warning for SEO
Before you change over to this app, please be aware that you have no control over the URL for each product. If you migrate your products to this store, then a random number will be appended to the URL with no option to change it. Bye bye SEO. Just happened to me.

Hi there, This is from Ecwid by the Lightspeed team. Thank you for reaching out to us. Ecwid generates clean SEO-friendly URLs that can be read by Google with no issues because we use short URLs without any additional symbols like % ! # etc. URLs in Ecwid contain product IDs to eliminate the possibility of creating the same URLs for products with the same name. For example, there can be several products in your store named “Shorts” belonging to the same category and it will be hard to create a unique URL for each of them using words only. It is also useful because thanks to the product ID, your old URL will work even if you change the product name. In this respect, numerical IDs are more efficient. That is why our clean URLs contain both words easily readable by people and search engines and numbers that are suitable for databases to speed up the work of your store. Gros problème avec l'affichage des points relais sur le téléphone
L'affichage des points relais avec Ecwid et SendCloud sur la version téléphone ne fonctionne pas bien : la liste est très longue et si on scrolle au centre du téléphone au lieu de scroller vraiment tout à droite (mais on ne voit pas qu'on a un défilement à droite), on ne peut ni remonter au premier point ni descendre pour confirmer le choix. Le client pense que le site ne fonctionne pas et abandonne son achat. Nous perdons énormément de ventes (nous les voyons dans les paniers abandonnés). Une catastrophe !

Free plan doesn't allow file uploads
I sell only digital products and the free plan doesn't allow the selling of digital products. I thought I could use my wix hosting for the file. But no, I only have to upload on Ecwid hosting to sell my digital products.

Hi, I’m Nazrin from Ecwid by Lightspeed support team. Thank you for your feedback. I understand your frustration with the limitations of the free plan regarding the sale of digital products. It's true that digital files can only be uploaded to Ecwid when using a paid plan, I'm sorry about that. Yet there is one workaround you can use. You can host your digital files on any other hosting platform, such as Google Drive for example. Further, you can organize a manual workflow, such as creating a product and mentioning in the description that once the payment is made you will send an email with the link containing the digital product to your customer. When you receive the payment you can go to your Orders page in your Ecwid Admin, collect the email address of your customer, and send an email with the link to your digital file. You can always contact us if you need more detailed instructions and any help with the setup. Thank you!

Not Fully functional - Not updated in a while
I have messaged ecwid directly for over a year now and they haven't updated this app to be fully functional. The add-ons do not work. I.e the floating shopping cart.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback! With the Free plan you can have indeed up to 10 items in total in catalog. There are no charges and you can stay on this plan for as long as you want to. If you need to have more than 10 items in the catalog, you can upgrade to one of the paid plans. E.g. Venture plan allows to have up to 100 items. Not working well
There is a constantly faults with layout. These are not fixed fast. We have now had a problem over two weeks and no estimate for fix is given.... Basic feature , too much empty space that slows the shop down and makes the shop look unprofessional = no sales :( The defect is not given appropriate urgent attention...

Depuis quelques temps je vois à coté de mes photos dans mes catégories paramètres "Ecwid", je me suis connectée à votre site pour savoir QUI vous étiez car je n'avais auparavant jamais téléchargé votre application sur ma boutique WIX ! Comment avez-vous fait pour accéder à mon site WIX sans avoir préalablement téléchargé votre site ? car tout fonctionnait parfaitement sur les réseaux sociaux, depuis c'est l'embrouille total ! je n'arrive plus à savoir ou j'en suis, je vois des catégories en doubles Ex : chakras X 2 ! je ne sais plus ce que je dois faire pour supprimer des doublons de catégories et ce qui va apparaitre sur les réseaux sociaux ! Help ! c'est vraiment source d’erreur ! comment faire pour résoudre ce problème ? Help! attends réponse humaine. Cordialement.

not responsive on Wix
i am really mad.... many many times i asked support to help me with this but no result. I have ecwid installed on wix AND there is a terrible free space under each product descrptions – different indeed under every product because ecwid is simply NOT RESPONSIVE. And they are saying to me to fix it on wix (wich is not possible to do, because even with their „workarounds“ it only makes the high smaller if I choose to use smaller pictures on grid, but anyway, it makes then the same high for all product pages as well and I have a free gaps under....). So now I have installed the shop on different page and faceing the same problem... again.... All would be quite good but THIS is annoying and I am already more than half year in search of solution... :(((( If somebody knosw how to solve it please let me know
