Does not even work most of the time

I should have read the reviews before buying this, but I needed it for school. It is really difficult to get it to actually work, but it does act as a search bar sometimes. I wouldn't recommend.

Dreadful

I will keep this short - the app just doesn't work! Installed and tested and even for the most basic of word searches across my site it just returns "No results found"!

Rarely working

On and off this app is consistently saying 'Trial period over' etc.. when I'm still paying for it. Customers are now asking for easily searchable items but the box is hardly ever working lately. Starting to feel ripped off being charged for something that isn't working.

You can only use it 14 days for free, but then you have to pay.

It's not working on mobile devices!

Maybe it's time to make this app to work smoothly also on mobile devices. As I know, most of us are staying more on phones instead of desktops where the app is doing a nice job.

Does not Work on Mobile Devices!

When users search on Mobile devices the page locks up. This is because the search results are only shown in pop ups which no one will allow on their mobile devices. I tried the free trial for 6 days and it was never fixed. The owner of the app didn't even bother to respond to my original post. Therefore, I will not pay for this app. Not even sure why Wix allows the sale of this app since all websites have both desktop and mobile versions. This error would cause potential customers to leave the page without looking further at the website. Needs an option in the settings to show search results in a new window.

Works well but awful customisation..

Works okay just barely any customisation options. Can't do anything to stop the search results looking like they're from the early 2000's. Can't change the search results font or background etc

Doesnt work

I purchased and installed SEARCH and it took 6 hours before I was able to open the configuration. The configuration steps are not well explained and the help has many mis-spellings. I then allowed 12 hours for indexing and then tested the search feature. On OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan, if I enter one of several common key search words our customers would use then the Search widget errors out and the entire screen goes grey. Never saw anything like it on OSX. I then allowed an additional 12 hours for indexing, and tested the search feature on 2 additional computers: On OSX 11.0.1 Big Sur, the search feature would go through a search, then a pop up window opened and reported “no results found" ; On a third computer that has Microsoft Windows 10 Home also tested with several common key search words resulted in each report being “no results found” The other search widgets Wix offers have even lower ratings. How can we have a store on Wix without powerful search?

I added this to my site, and regardless what was typed into the search bar, no search results populated...at all. Very disappointing.

UPDATE: They were able to fix the issue. Our search app is working again. Thank you for the timely response. We have been paying for this app for the last 4 months and it currently isn't working. We have attempted to get help from customer service and we haven't had any luck. If anyone can offer help, we would greatly appreciate it. Will be canceling soon if nothing is resolved.

UPDATE: My Premium version keeps reverting back to the Trial version.

I am giving XiSearch 5 stars not because of performance - due to WIX I have not been able to fully evaluate that yet. My rating is more for customer service. XiSearch has been very helpful in trying to help me resolve my problem. Now if we can just get WIX on board.

I hate to give a one star. But, have contacted tech support three times over 18 days and have zero response.

Settings don't hold.

Since this search tool searches pdf files, I'd love to use it. But I can't get the settings to hold... the pop-up results window shows "2 of 6" but I can't figure out how to get to the 6. I want to use this, but can't make it work.

I had downloaded and upgraded the app to use on my site. Unfortunately, it didnt work at first. I contact tech support and within a matter of minutes they fix the issue. Poor instructions

First off, the directions on how to turn this on are horrible. It says go to "Site" then "site manager" then click Seo. I have none of that on my dashboard or anywhere for that matter. I went to seo settings and still nothing.

I just purchesed the plugin and doesen t work, i tryed 2 days to save my app setting and it won t save. I m very frustrated decause i lost a lot of time trying to get this work. Don t buy it!

Useful application. Quick search, there is no problem in his work. Thanks to the Creator of this application, really data is searched very quickly, and the main thing is that it works on Wix. Support responds quickly, everything is super!

Good app, great support!

Easy to use. This is the only search app I can find on wix that will properly exclude product from the search, a very useful feature. Also if you have any issues the support team will respond quickly to solve the problem. 10/10 Would recommend!

I have tried but don't liked the overall layout

Take a look in www.searchbar.org, its free, way more pleasing to the eyes, lightweight, with a mobile first design, for sure is the easiest to implement in any CMS with blazing fast results.

Tried to customize the theme but it keeps reverting to God awful green, squishes every picture into a silly distorted rectangle, weird fonts

I used to work with another platform before I found out about Wix. I have something to compare and more convenient service to create and manage the site I have not seen. I really like my personal account for administration. I'm very comfortable blogging and exporting content to social at the click of a button. My clients are very satisfied and I am among them.
