    Works but doesn't unlock all features

    I like the app but unless I also purchase an additional subscription through Sellfy itself, I cannot integrate with Zapier and my email campaigns. Slightly annoying that this is the low budget, diet version that does everything I need except provide the API key.

      Hi, our Sellfy subscriptions and the Sell Downloads app are separate services that provide different functionality and features. The two won't work together so rather than adding a Sellfy subscription on top of your app service, you'll want to choose one or the other. Sellfy's main service still allows you to sell directly from your Wix website so it's worth checking out if you need more advanced features and integrations, such as Zapier for example.     Pricing

    Do i have to pay 9.99 eve, if i am using one of the premium offers??

      Hi there! Thanks for trying out the app. The $9.99 is paid monthly as a subscription. No matter which Wix service you use, the cost to use the app is the same, because we're a separate company from Wix. It's just the one flat rate. I hope that's not disappointing, though! You can always ask Wix support about apps or services that may be included with your Premium site. They may have some tips for you! :-) Sellfy Support

    Hi, Looking at this option to add to my website. Do you pay two lots of fees? For Sellfy and Wix? Is it better to just change to a commerce website through wix?

      Hi there. The monthly cost for the Sell Downloads app is $9.99 + the PayPal/Stripe transaction fee. The app works great with Wix however, the subscription plans on Sellfy.com do offer more advanced features.       Hi! Thanks for looking into our app! Our service is designed to sell downloads, and we don't yet have plans to add a streaming feature. So, we currently don't offer an option to sell access to view videos.

    Selling digital products

    Can I take a template I made on Microsoft Excel and sell it? I have a nice coin collection template that shows silver prices and every US Minted coin to collect for people. I am not sure how to make it so they don't get the exact copy that I have, kind of like letting them edit my copy... Is there any way to do this, or do I need to copy it a million times just to sell it individually?

      Hi, Thank you for looking into using our app! :) The way our app works is that you can upload any digital product to sell on your site. That means Excel files can be sold as well. Every customer will receive the exact same copy of the product. But, if you don't apply any access restrictions to the file, the buyers should be able to edit their copy. If you're interested in selling unique files per customer, then our service may not be the best fit for you. Please feel free to contact us via support@sellfy.com with more questions!

    Is the Storage unlimited? Or it use wix storage?

      Hi, Yes, the file storage is unlimited. Files are hosted on our servers and are not using WIX storage. We only limit the max size of a single product. Currently, it is capped at 2gb but you can have an unlimited number of products.

    Great App, Could use a Few Upgrades

    This is a great starter app for anyone looking to sell digital downloads on Wix. It processes payments quickly and reliably through Paypal or Stripe, and sends automatic links to customers. There is very minimal amount of customization allowed, which I can move past, but I would really like a Shopping Cart option to be added and the Analytics to be improved to function fully, even if it came at an added cost.

    Question

    I see that the file is automatically sent to the customer once it's purchased. My question is can I set up a feature that sends a separate file 7 days after the initial download? And another email 30 days after the initial download? For example, I am selling a workout guide that is 2 weeks long. I would like to send them specific stages of completion as they go through the guide.

    Question

    I would like to ask something before I get this app: Do Sellfy deduct any costs from the sold products? So if I am to sell a PDF for let's say 2,99$, will I receive exactly that amount after the costumers purchase it or just a percentage of it? Thanks in advance for your reply, Ioana

      Hi, the Sell Downloads app doesn't charge a transaction fee - only the monthly payment. However, PayPal does charge for each transaction - it's approximately $0.30 + 2.9% (percentage varies depending on your location).

    Gets the job done

    I've used this for a month and feel I can comment with some certainty. 1) I only ran into one moment where the 'Buy now' links failed for some reason, but they did restore themselves a few hours later. Otherwise, the links work fine, though more customization would be very welcome. When I activate a discount sale such as '20% off', the links remain visually unchanged and list the original price. You should really try to add that visual change so that when we activate a discount, the links change to show the '20% off', otherwise we have to draw over it ourselves in an unprofessional way. 2) I also couldn't find a way to give a customer a 1-time use code that would allow them to download the product for free, if, for example, their downloads kept failing or if I wanted to send out review copies. There are coupons, but those could be used by anyone an infinite number of times should someone post the coupon on another site. 3) The lack of a shopping cart embed is severely hindering for those that want to sell thousands of products at small prices, thus the addition of a shopping cart would certainly be beneficial and is something I would prioritize development on if possible. 4) The price for this subscription is fine, though I would suggest a cheaper option that limits users to only upload perhaps 20 products total or a MB total for uploads. Or a free option that takes a % of the revenue instead. The no-restriction trial is incredibly useful. 5) Further payment options would be nice, but I noticed you offer this through your Pro plan, so I doubt that will see any addition here. 6) The customer service are very helpful and fast, which is always a plus. So props to them! Nevertheless, a solid app that gets the job done, but with some extra polish it could be excellent. (If any of these features do already exist - do please point me to them!)

We're happy to hear that overall you're satisfied with the app. And we truly appreciate the suggestions for improvement. :) We've noted your suggestion for more enhanced button customization and the shopping cart feature. At the moment it's not possible to download a free product with the help of a coupon. It's only possible if you set the price to $0 (then automatically the pay what you want feature is enabled). The coupon codes we have now are for discounts only. I can understand your concern about the coupon code being freely used. At the same time - perhaps, getting the coupon code shared may result in more sales and recognition than if it were hidden for the few? ;) Please notice that the PRO plan is totally unrelated to the Sell Downloads app - it's only available on the Sellfy.com platform, which is a separate service altogether.     Ebooks DRM

    Hi. One question: is it possible to apply DRM (Digital Rights Management) to the ebooks? I mean, what I want with this app, is that once I sell a book to a customer, he can´ be able to share it with other people.

    Nice application

    I wish there was a way to purchase multiple items and use a cart to check out with. My buyers are complaining they have to buy each item one at a time. Maybe I am missing something.

      Hi, Thanks for sharing your concern! We are actually developing a shopping cart now, so it will be made available soon. There isn't yet a specific date for the launch, but it's not too far away ;) But for the time being it's not possible to integrate the app with a shopping cart.

      Hi! At the moment we offer only PayPal and credit card (enabled via Stripe) as payment options. So your customers can pay with credit card also. Stripe is the alternative to PayPal which you as the seller can add to your account to make credit card payments easier for your customers. We don't offer any other payment options at the moment.     it doesn't work since 2 days - but everything is ok now

    I sell PDF and it worked during 3 weeks and since 3 days, it doesn't supply the download link... Damned Ok, you fixed the problem, I think you should communicate more when you have a problem but you made the job finally... Its a good app, thx for your work :)

      Hi there! Sure, you may change / update your product files without having to upload them anew. You can do this if you go to your Sellfy.com account (should be the same login as wix) and edit the products from there.

    Love the 2GB but..

    Wish the payment method also accepted credit cards. Giving customers all options to pay is very important. Your competitors offer it but they only have 500MB as max size. So wix.com doesn't have a solid option for digital products. So I am forced to use a third party to embed on my site which is not convenient for the customers. Please add the credit card option and I will purchase it right away.
