App is good, but has some major bugs and bad support

Don't purchase the option for the mobile app, it doesn't work. Also, doesn't import events from csv files. Good luck trying to get support's help. They don't respond, and the ai support is terrible.

Love how much you can do with this — custom views, reminders, sharing, syncing… it has everything. And it still feels simple. Great app!

Good app, convenient and very useful features

We use this Calendar app for our cycling club - two of the useful features are: the ability to have required fields, and buttons to Add the Event to an online calendar.

Good app that is simplistic

Been using the Boom Calendar app on WIX for a number of years. It is simple to use and the resulting display when posted looks attractive to our members and prospects.

Not Worth It

Reasonably easy, not fully customizable and extra app + charge if you want to edit events on mobile

Our application at this time is pretty simple so the booking app is a good option as it is much better than the Wix booking app and their focus on services (we're a VRBO). Two issues I've hit so far are below, and since one is a deal breaker I'm back to finding a good option to show our available dates that doesn't cost more money. Already paying for Wix which should be easy to use for booking/availability, but isn't for this scenario or our experience so far. Deal breaker: Cannot edit or add events from my mobile device without yet another app "mobile app" and paying their Premium subscription charges of $6.99/month or $5.99/month if paid annually. The other issue is small but not ideal: Blocking of the calendar is just a line. Cannot find a way to customize it to show the entire day blocked. We rent a home and need to just show full days blocked or a half day on check in/out dates, etc. The line works but is not visually as easy to 'read' as the colorblock on the entire space

Awesome extension and even better support!

I’m really loving this extension! The amount of customization you can do is pretty much endless, and I’m super happy with the results. You can tweak everything down to the smallest detail, whether it’s the design or the content—it just works. The customer service at Boom is honestly some of the best I’ve ever dealt with. A huge thanks to Monika in particular—she went out of her way to help me get everything exactly how I wanted it. They don't just give canned answers - they actually updated the code based on my suggestions to make things better. You definitely get great value for your money here. If you're looking for a flexible tool with a team that actually cares, this is it!

Overall happy with product, great support!

The app is very user friendly. However it is not perfect and I have experienced a few bugs and issues. Having said that, this is where I appreciate the technical support that I have received. While you worked on fixing the problem, you also gave me alternatives and workarounds to address the problem which was very helpful. I found the support team efficient, effective, helpful, professional and prompt. No product is perfect but when you have a good support team , it makes a huge difference to your overall experience of the product. Well done team! I truly appreciate your assistance in resolving the problems that I have encountered.

Better than WIX native calendar, but

not enough to pay for it. I need customers to easily view/ filter available/ fully booked slots. Crazy WIX doesn't have monthly calendar view (my main reason for trying this app)

Love the BoomTech Calendar!

We are a non-profit and found this calendar while building our new website. It meets all of our needs and then some. We do not use it for events (like parties, concerts, meetings, etc.) but to schedule folks and when they will work. The visuals are fantastic. We have not found anything it doesn’t do for us. And it is aesthetically pleasing. It is VERY easy to set up and tweak to your liking. It is VERY easy to use. Sj.

Calendar App has been great!

We use the Calendar app on our retreat center website and it helps with our booking process. I have reached out to support to help with some changes and they ROCKED it and got me all fixed up within a few emails!

Add to Calendar

Update: Boom Tech reviewed the issue and identified a formatting problem that was causing issues, especially on iOS. This could mean the file might not be read correctly, or it might not be imported. I’m happy to say that their response was quick and effective, so I’ve adjusted my assessment now that it has been resolved. Initial post: It is incredibly disappointing that the “Add to Calendar” feature is not functioning correctly. This is particularly frustrating, given the app's premium cost. I am keen to know what measures are being taken to rectify this problem.

Missing features

It's a good app, and I've been using it for a number of years now. Does what it's supposed to. However the newest feature where people can subscribe to get updates when new events are added feels rushed and half baked. You can't change the email that's sent to subscribers, and unfortunately the standard email is very basic and even looks like spam to the end user. It also has no mention of the website sending it looks like a random email with incomplete information. "Go To Calendar" button in the email just sends to the homepage instead of the calendar page as well. All in all still needs some work but I hope this will be added soon.

O app de agenda que eu usava foi descontinuado e automaticamente excluído do meu site. Como eu me arrependo de ter criticado ele na época. Esse aqui possui várias opções de personalização. E só. Além de muito mal traduzido, até com variáveis explícitas, ele está exibindo publicamente meus eventos privados, e ainda a versão gratuita é praticamente uma demonstração, já que não deixa fazer nada, nem mesmo exibir mais de 10 eventos. Muito difícil de recomendar.

AMAZINGLY Responsive Tech Support!

The app itself is wonderfully functional and easy to use, and the tech support is beyond compare when issues arise! The AI help is accurate and quick and when that doesn't resolve a question, a real human responds by the next morning! I've been thoroughly impressed by how open support is to suggestions to improve user experience, and how quickly they were able to implement new features. 5 stars for the app and the wonderful, helpful people behind it.

The layouts are super versatile and syncing with Google and Eventbrite works smoothly. Love that I can sell tickets right inside the calendar.

Really clever software and looks great too. Just type in the data and it becomes a calendar. Magic!

This was my first time using WIX and the Boom Event Calendar so I took it easy and manged to put 32 events on the calendar and saved each one as draft. I couldn't find a way to publish them all at once so I asked the helpful bot who said it couldn't be done. After publishing each one individually, I had an email from the lovely people at Boom and they have fixed the problem so now you can save events as draft and publish them all in one go. Thank you Boom for fixing that and I call that excellent customer service. Well done Boom.

Not smooth enough

needed several timetables showing different events per page and like the fact I could incorporate different links to other sites but sadly it didn't update at all and ended up duplicating workload each time

Better and better!

The responsiveness and professionalism of the Boom Event Calendar support team (Mery in particular) was first-rate. We had an issue with images not displaying properly in our preferred layout, and Mery sussed and sorted the issue with her team in a matter of days. Everything looks so much better now. Many thanks!

100% Recomendable

A Review of BoomTech Calendar

I am impressed. This calendar was not perfect when I started working on it. While I was figuring things out and exactly how I wanted things to look/run, I ran into a few problems. The quick and easy messaging center was super easy to use and the agents really did respond within a minute...sometimes less. They were super friendly, helpful and here's the best part...I had some questions about the operation/coding side of the calendar and their response was very appropriate. Usually something like, "We don't currently offer that but let us see what we can do..." Not expecting ANYTHING, I was incredibly surprised to get multiple emails saying that they not only fixed some of the issues, but ACTUALLY ADDED MY SUGGESTIONS TO THEIR PROGRAM. That is easily the best service I have ever received. The product is great, easy to use and navigate but the real treat is the team behind the product.

Great app, and great tech support with fast resolution time

I came across a layout bug on Android that detracted from the user experience. I submitted a bug report with a couple of screen images and to my delight the issue was resolved in production in about 5 hours from initial submission. The app itself is slick and stylish. Its quick to get a professional looking event calendar working on desktop and mobile. The excellent support has certainly influenced my decision regarding a full years subscription.

Love this app! Not only does it keep our events organized, the customer service is amazing! We recently had a connection issue and reached out to customer service. They replied right away and literally fixed the issue in less than 2 minutes. Would definitely recommend this app!

Great support staff!

I really appreciate how quickly the support team responds to my questions, whether it be a small bug on their end they need to fix or something I have to do myself outside the app; they always respond to issues so quickly. There are a few quirks to the calendar that I think could be changed to make it better, but in the end, it does its job really well. Our organization has shared the calendar with our community and we've heard positive reviews. We are excited to keep exploring the calendar and finding new ways to make it engaging for them!

doesnt show the correct order of events and boookings in any agenda view expect weekly. does not syn from wix tickets and events to goofle calendar, so basically worthless. the other way around is fine, but not helpful tome at all.

I loved the calendar but today wont load. If it doesn't start working today I'll need to get a different calendar.

LOVE IT!

Its layout is professional-looking for any view we choose. It's straightforward and intuitive. Best of all, it syncs completely (in real-time) with Google Calendar. Customer service was very helpful in understanding the syncing process. We love it!

The layout is nice - but a few issues

The look is good, but there isn't an easy way for people to book your events through the app directly. Also there is no way to cancel in the back end once you subscribe, so you need to message them directly to do this.

Great Customer Service

When I recently experienced an issue with the mobile registration button, the team was very quick to respond and resolve the issue! We also had requested a "Waiting List" option, and they had that added within days. Great customer service is rare to find these days!

The support has been excellent and I have had my questions answered promptly and clearly! I wish that I could have more than 10 events for the free version, but for the most part, this app fits my needs nicely and I appreciate the support.

The App is user friendly - but not very customizable

Setting up an event is super easy - and can be done very quickly. Unfortunately, if you have an outside registration app, like setting up a Zoom or Teams meeting, you can't "sell tickets". The landing page that the app has doesn't have a ton of customization, but all in all, it is still the best app that WIX offers for this.
