There is no ability that seems to work to import recipes from a WP site.

Spending a couple of hours trying to import my recipes from my WP site was a total waste of time. It does not work. Also when manually adding recipes I get an error that says I am missing a mandatory field. Well after going through every field that is mandatory it still gave me the error. Now I know why there are so many negative reviews for this app.

Please, do yourself a favor and dont buy this app. It is a waste of money, nobody answer you and it is super limited. Edit. I emailed that support email on August 29th. Cero answers.

Avoid. Not worth the money charged.

AVOID THIS APP. I'm using the paid version and It's inflexible. I'd like to be able to choose what's displayed with more nuance. It's one layout with no option to modify. The recipes I'm creating are short with very brief descriptions and instructions. I'd prefer to hide or edit the nutritional portion but that's not an option. Very limited customization beyond color and fonts. The social icons are outdated (Google+ and Twitter don't even exist anymore) and cannot be changed. Links to YouTube don't work. I reached out to support but they never responded. Now I just want my money back. I'm guessing they wont respond to that either.

No Turkish Language

I need a template for my food blog pages. I was hoping to upgrade yours but saw that there was no turkish lang support.

Waste of time

Entered a recipe and it posted fine on the website. Wanted to make sure I liked how it worked and look before upgrading. Took the time to create another recipe, it won't save and won't post. Even better, the first recipe I took the time to create and post is now gone. Gotta love worthless apps that know they're worthless but don't do anything to fix the issues. I guess I knew I was likely wasting my time with how low the rating is. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

I have downloaded the app, completed the sections, and I wanted to add one of my videos from youtube. I wish there'd been a screenshot section here. In the last page and for the finishing operation.. the button is inactive, it says probably there is stg missing in your information, but there is nothing. so, seeing all we people are complaining about the app, givin 1 star, feeling disappointed, why aren't you cancelling or updating it? (or why are we downloading it, who are we, where are we, what planet is this, what is the meaning of life, ...?)

downloaded, took me forever to get in a recipe, then could not even post due to unknown reason saying there was a line I had to fill in missing, there wasn't. I assume the problem was that I had to upgrade. Horrible app, how the hell is this the only option Wix !!!!!! Absolute garbage

This app is the absolute worst and the company WILL NOT ANSWER ANY EMAILS FOR SUPPORT!!!

Run away from this app as fast as you can. DO NOT SEND THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY, they refuse to answer emails for support. We paid for this app and it no longer works and we have probably lost all our recipes. This is one of the very worst apps I have ever used. It is clunky trying to get recipes in, it doesn't handle pics very well at all, and you can't get it to load on your site all too often. It is to the point where we even have our customers complaining about this app. Now it is giving our site a bad reputation with our customers. As I said don't load this app expecting it to work and whatever you do DON'T PAY FOR THIS APP BECAUSE THEY DON'T SUPPORT IT!!!

the app is so outdated. firstly it doesnt look great on the website. the picture feature is poor, as it doesnt allow you to upload pictures in a professional modern manner. second, the info section for your recipe is so small, i need to add a lot more content in, thirdly adding ads (code) to the recipe itself itself seems near on impossible. i wish to monetize my blog and this app is totally inefficient to do so. come on wix, when are you gonna find some decent solutions for recipe makers, im seriously thinking im gonna have to head to wordpress if this is the wix future, really poor

It is way to arduous and very limiting.

This app is very cumbersome to use. It takes me almost 20 minutes to post a recipe. The fact that you have to paste in every individual ingredient is beyond painful. The actual ingredient can't be too long either. I'd love some additional tags to use- tofu, spicy, vegetables, grains, pasta. I'd also like the option to move the recipes around. Please help. I had a premium plan and I canceled it because this app is beyond horrible. Your response to me was to upgrade to premium, I was already on the premium platform.

Still waiting to hear back from the Recipe App people ... and waiting... and waiting... I called Wix and they thought it might have something to do with my computer, but absolutely nothing else that I do with my Wix sites (developing, designing, creating) gives me any problems what-so-ever. Everything else I do, regarding Wix, works just fine. This app issue has nothing to do with my computer, but just in case, I reviewed all my security, etc. Honestly, I didn't see all these horrible reviews about Recipe until after I "upgraded" and the app didn't upgrade. That is what brought me to spending my time running around in useless circles trying to find answers to this unsolvable problem. Wix customer service said that the recipe program appears to have upgraded, but for me the options remain exactly as they were before I purchased the upgrade. I would have put no stars (or negative 5 stars) but that wasn't offered as a selection.

This is the WORST app EVER!

This horrendous app allows you to upload only 2 recipes without paying a ton of money!!! There is no printing capability, no ability to add links and horrible formatting! WORST APP EVER!!!!! DO NOT RECOMEND!!! WISH I COULD RATE IT LESS!!!

I thought that they can be used on different pages. Please make the feature. As you have terrible ratings and Wix doesn't have another recipe display so, please let this app be useful.

If I could rate it less I would...

This is the only recipe app on all of Wix and it's essentially useless. The app doesn't allow you to put recipes on any more than one single page. You can't use the recipes on any other pages to seperate them out into categories or even to display the latest ones on another page. You also get useless links for social media and sharing as every single link has the same title, same image... It doesn't actually show the recipe you linked too at all! I am so very disappointed in this app and I want my money back. It cost a stupid amount for what you can do with it and the FREE Blog app has more functionality and is free....

The app has a lot of potential but is cost prohibitive

I'm all for paying developers for their hard work and they've done a decent job building a database style recipe app for your website. Beats the old story & sponsor scroll format most cooking blogs follow. But you only get 2 recipes on the free version and $8/mo is such an over-reach for even mid-level creators. Simply put, it isn't worth $100 a year. ROI simply not there for me. Excellent idea, just out of reach.

I don't like the layout

I don't like the layout: there's possibility to add only one photo (while some other wordpress recipes tools allow to add more), and the menu is not nice at all to see. It's a good start, but should be re-designed better. Plus, it's not customizable at all (colors, forms, shapes...) which is a pity

way too expensive for what you get

Wix only has one recipe app! and it charges far too much for basic bloggers to add recipes. there should be a tiered payment system and then i might be interested but you either have 2 recipes (pointless) or unlimited for a ridiculous amount of money a year ($100)! Not worth it. However, if you are willing to pay it seems easy to use and customise.

It won't allow me to edit recipes

I've attempted to work with this app. NOW, it won't even open and allow me to add/edit my recipes. Not sure why this is the only recipe app that WIX has.

Have a problem

I have just upgraded the app but still not able to upload an .xls file. The submit button is not active

Missing a lot of features

I can understand a free app if you have to input your own recipes and create your own database but only allowing 2 recipes to be added for free is not a promising feature. I would pay if there was a preloaded list of recipes you can choose from but not a simple form system. There isn't really any benefit to adding this feature to your website. Very disappointed and would love to see more options available.

App is broken with numerous issues

The app is currently broken. I reached out to the developer and received no response. I will be canceling. My recipes have been deleted from my site for at least 48 hours and customers have complained. Whats most frustrating is that I can't even see my old recipes so everything has to be re-typed into my blog from memory. I will definitely loose recipes and I am very disappointed. I really wish WIX could partner with another recipe app with higher reviews.

App in no longer working?

Just built an entire site around recipes and food. The app is not functioning, my paying customers are unable to view the recipes. I noticed Wix is not supporting the app any longer. I have reached out to tech support and have not heard back. Please advise and refund my account for the yearly subscription I purchased.

Why is the app not working, for days I cant access it and the worst time at Christmas when bloggers need to use this. I note your response on the 13th but the app is still down

Recent Update makes it inoperable

Not sure what happened but I just paid for year subscription but it doesn't look like i will be able to use the service as expected. You guys just changed your contract with Wix and now when i go to edit everything is in "code" and text what happened? will be contacted you for a refund, highly disappointed

Recipes APP by Disha IT LLC

This is a nice app, however it has limited features and the navigation, functionality and ability to quickly update information or design is challenging. Using the App was very time consuming and not very user friendly

This app sucks and so does your customer service

With food being one of the biggest fields out there it blows my mind that you only have ONE recipe app available for your customers. I've had issues with this app and finally just decided to delete it. Now I can't add recipes to my site, a food and cooking centered site can't provide recipes........How unprofessional do you think I look to my customers and potential customers? What's up with that? And as for customer service, I have sent four tickets on the same issue about a sign up add on I did to my site and have received zero response. I can't create my email automation. Seriously looking into changing my entire site and going somewhere else.

It's not working and I'm screwed

The App isn't working at all if you try and add a recipe now, and I have my whole website recipe base in this trash. What am I supposed to do? **** EDIT 3 weeks later and still no answer or solution. I can't add recipes to this app. Can someone let me know when this will be fixed? I've tried adding recipes on 3 separate independent computers and it won't work! PLEASE CAN YOU FIX IT!

Glitchy

Every recipe takes me two attempts to get it actually entered. I will enter all of the information. Everything with a * by it. Then at the end I'm told that I need to make sure that everything with a * is filled out. So I go back to double check and everything that had just been typed in is now completely gone and I have to reenter it all for a second time. I will enter in the same information in the same places again and the second time it will accept it. It does this even after I "save as draft" after each page. Will auto erase all text entered. Except the ingredients, that's the only thing that stays.

Zero stars is what this app is worth

This app is terrible! Even if you get suckered into paying to be able to add more recipes, it glitches while adding recipes. I have tried adding the same recipe 4 times and it doesn't save or deletes while I am writing. What a waste of $$! Come on wix! you can see by the reviews that this app doesn't meet expectation! Enough already! replace it!

This app is LAME

Add a recipe feature wix, this app is poorly designed and WAY too expensive. Out of all the website companies offered wix should have this option.

It's just not good.

Limited abilities and many glitches. You would think with the reputation that WIX has, they wouldn't be using a third rate app. I'd happily pay $20 per month for a legit recipe app. I am currently paying for their "premium" package and it just doesn't cut it for a real food blogger. COME ON WIX! LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE!

I'm dissapointed with this app. They want you to pay $8 a month after the second recipe and the app doesn't even allow you to edit your recipe cards or change colors and they chose vomit color which is such a turn off. Make the app more usable and maybe I'll consider paying. don't waste your time if you don't want to spend an extra $8 per month on an app that doest allow you to edit things to be your own

Can someone please answer my email. We are unable to post recipes yet we purchased the upgraded version of this app. Clicking the "manage recipes" app takes me to a screen that is an error screen and I haven't been able to add a new recipe for over a week.

Serious Joke

Tried reaching out to developer. No answer. Can't get anywhere with this app. Certain areas of Wix says this app is no longer available yet they offer it and still offer a button to add to a website. NO way to get ahold of ANYONE at Wix. Customer support is painfully lame.

Does not publish on my site

when i publish my site, the app does not show up when viewing. Too bad, it seems like great idea.

Can't even get it on my blog

This is not user friendly and I spent all the time and effort to get it going. Not happy
