ts good for what it is but I feel like there should be more customization to the add ONS. I want to be able to change the color of the background of the comments itself instead of only keeping it white

Please add the following 2 improvements to make this app perfect 1. An upvote feature that changes the order of posts, so the order of what is shown in the group is a mixture of the most upvoted posts and new posts that need to get upvoted to maintain their top position, similar to how Reddit works 2. The option to edit and set default settings for all new groups created, so if members create a group, it's automatically set not to create a new post every time a new member joins, or when the group banner or description is changed, or maybe leave these off by default, or allow the member who created the the group the ability to turn these features on or off and not just the admin of the site

This app is easy to use and has a lot of functionality.

The one issue we have is that outgoing notifications for inviting members does not seem to work.

Some Pros & Cons

I spoke with Simona in a user interview and she asked that I review this app. It was easy to add, and I like that it created a separate page instead of overtaking another one - unlike how Forums needs a blank page since it doesn't fit into a section. The guide is very in-depth and the pictures help with navigation. I was emailed immediately when something was updated. While the rule templates are nice, it would be good to have more variety of options rather than rephrasing the same rule in different tones. It would also help if group rules could be copied over or added as templates. When editing rules, the original description goes blank. Pictures can only be updated, not removed. Suggested dimensions are untrue. A larger size with text/objects toward the center of the image so nothing will be cut off is best for now. The custom fields don’t translate or count up in number, so the default choices are really the only ones. Overall, Groups are very useful for my type of site!

Great! But...

I wish it could be integrated in the forum. I like using using this for beta testing, but it’s too distracting having this on the home page if you’re using it for chatting. The Wix chat feature that I installed on my website is basically for Customer Service and member chatting and that’s it. As someone who runs a community for teddy bear collectors and their bear friends, the group feature should have been great for this stuff. If you don’t have a forum on your site, this works well. Reminds me a bit of Facebook, if you want to create your own social site. There are already too many posts on the forum to migrate to the groups feature.

Very good

I like how the groups work. However, it would be good if the group pages could be transformed into an online classroom. For example with a list of teachers or a place to submit data. But overall very good!

Very useful with missing one thing

Dear Wix, I am missing very important options for me :-). : I would like, as a group admin, to be able to set the file size (MB) that a group member can upload to a post being created or in a reply to a post. I am afraid that with many large files to be uploaded by group members, you will run out of storage space very quickly. Next, I would like as admin to be able to set that group creation can be available to selected members of my site who have paid for a plan (prices plan). And only such would have the ability to, for example, upload files of a certain maximum size to posts. Other than that, this is a very good app! Thank you.

So far not bad but ...

It was easy to create groups. It seems easy to add people to groups. And it seems that different people can have different roles in the group. But one thing I could not do is for an administrator to add events for the group. I was only able to add events using the dashboard. I don't want to give admin of a group the access to the whole website dashboard. That seems odd that an admin of a group cannot add events. Or am I missing something ?

I like parts of this App

Overall the concept is great. However, I agree with the other review regarding theme options. It would just make it easier to choose light themes or dark themes. The discussion post pop up has a back background (when I am wanting a light theme) and the comments box does not have the ability to change font or font color and with a white background we are unable to view comments because default text color is white. These types of issues are minor but I think would be greatly resolved with preset themes so we don't have to change every little thing to our liking and run into areas where it doesn't work. Additionally, it would be great to have themes for specific uses to choose from. I use the group page for a study group for classes that we have via zoom. Having a preset class or study group page with functions specific to that would be AMAZING! Thank you!

Set default sort order

Provide admins the ability to set the default sort order for groups list (A-Z) rather than created date.

its ok

it does what it says and lets you make good groups but there is a risk that can happen from freely making groups. I was trying to find a option that makes it so I have to verify that group can be made before it becomes public

I really like it but..

It needs to have some options.. at groups main page, there will be turn on/off view button. at group main page, view button needs more design option like other wix apps does. Like, fill color, border color etc. at groups page, header needs a reposition option to change how banner located on the screen. Like Facebook, Twitter pages banner does. At the groups main page, when you hide the title, there will be huge margins. Mobile view need some option to optimize for little screen. It really look weird on mobile.

It would be good to be able to write the text ourselves instead of "create group".

Excellent app but lacking vital theme changes

Like some of the new updates guys but whenever i go to "share something" and create a post in Groups it pops up with a black background to compose your post and with black writing so you cannot see the text making the whole app useless. There is no option to edit this part of the design either. Please update this asap so I can relaunch my group pages!

Great concept, missing a few design features

It's really unfortunate that most of the text doesn't have customizeable colors. Default color is dark grey and my site background color is black.

The app works correctly. My suggestion is to get registered somewhere, how long each member was on the site in each session, and to show totals and subtotals. It would be very useful. Thank you

It's great to have this feature and hope you can solve the issues I have faced. - The mobile view does not function well ( size, alignment, fonts size, group image) - Need to give an option to edit the size of the fonts in the mobile view. - Not able to edit fonts and buttons colours in more than the main page. - Notification page is not abearing on mobile view at all - The search bar in mobile view is not working properly and the search text going out of the screen. - There is unnecessary lines frame around the heart and emojis buttons. In general, it's great and will be waiting your updated version :) Tnx

Creating a Social Media Website, It's Pretty Easy.

WIX sure has come a long way hasn't it? Years ago I wanted to create a social media based website allowing users to login via Facebook or Google and engage on my website with the content created by it's user base. Back than I tried everything and I came to the consultation that it was impossible. moving into 2020 The WIX Blog, The WIX Forum and now the newly introduced WIX Groups makes creating a social media website very much possible. Although the real GEM is the WIX Forums, if anyone is interested in creating a true user driven experience allowing users to have their own "space" to write and express their topics with other members than the WIX Groups is a great place to create a stunning community. I think moving forward more and more features will be released for this Product which will make it better and better for those looking to create a group or social based website however I think that WIX is slowly starting to lose it's UX advantage. I'd recommend a design update, take your time to look Dribbble and reclaim your UX and Design advantage again. PS: I think we are all waiting on the WIX Forum Gallery, I will be
