Data cannot be downloaded
I discontinued using it couple of years ago but I still paid the annual fees as the historical data cannot be downloaded. Now I deleted it.

In general, after upgrading to the premium plan it is advised by Wix to refresh the Wix Editor in order to benefit the premium-only features.

I'm sorry that you feel this way. We are a commercial company and our only earnings are a percentage of the monthly fees that our users pay for using the app. The fee of our News Ticker app is actually the lowest amount Wix allowed when we added our app to Wix app-market. We hope you understand.

Snuck a fee in after 2 years and tried to pretend like their "watermark" was always in my ticker
And now I have to pay monthly to remove it. You just sneak it in there and force a monthly payment on something that was free. Unbelievable. Edit: After the response I received to my review, I'll be deleting this app. It has never cost money, because I don't add apps that charge a fee because I'm working on a nonprofit budget. I would NEVER have picked something with a fee, and the "powered by Shareiiit" has never shown in my ticker until yesterday. I check my site almost daily, and it's NEVER shown on there, so I don't appreciate you insinuating I'm lying or don't know what's been on my site for 2 years now. I've already found another option with much better reviews, and while it does come with a fee, it's much cheaper than the charge you've now tacked on.

We replied and then you edited your review and removed our original response, so I'll repeat our answer, because your review keeps on accusing us of injustice. The "Powered by ShareiiiT" attribution has *always* been there for non-paying users, from day 1 of this app. It is also mentioned ("Remove our branding") in the official table that compares the plans, and this table hasn't changed for years. To prove my claim, just look for another review from May 17, 2020, which complains about the branding item. So while I may understand the feedback about whether this branding item is irritating, we cannot accept accusing us of unfairness. Anyway I'm really sorry that it took you some time to notice it. Yet, accusing us for changing the rules is unfair.

Massively resource draining
Should a new ticker hang the web site loading in a browser for ten plus minutes? Now it doesnt allow me to edit entries that are already in place. I notice the CONNECT WITH US button in the support tab connects me with nobody. DO NOT USE>

Thank you for your feedback. I wish you wrote to us before coming to this conclusion. We cannot provide an effective assistance through an anonymous review, however I'll write here in general that if one experiences non-smooth scrolling, this may be a result of a too-busy computer usually when installed on a website with other videos and animations that load it. Our News Ticker app does not consume much CPU, but in order to move smoothly it needs the browser's attention and if the browser or the device are too busy with other missions, the Ticker's animation might look less smooth if the browser doesn't manage to prioritize it to run frequently enough. I hope it helps - if not you, maybe others that read it. Anyway, if anybody experiences issues - the best way is to use the "Contact Us" form in the app-settings, and then we will do our best to help.

Didn't allow editing feed entry, or adding another - directed to upgrade
This would be a great feature on my site, but I'm not interested in paying an additional monthly charge - and each time I tried to edit my one feed item or add a second feed item, I was directed to the upgrade page. There was no way to save. I had it installed on my home page, and tried to copy/paste the widget onto my "Contact" page so both pages had the same messaging. The copy/paste worked and the news ticker did display properly, but there was no way to save any edits to the "free" feed items without being directed to upgrade. I'll give the company the benefit of the doubt and say that me using the same widget on two pages may have caused it to stop working as they claim it should. I did remove the widget from my site and tried to reinstall, but I got the same results. 8/28/23 - Perhaps check your code - test the scenarios that I spoke of to ensure it is working properly. The company claims that the free version allows for 3 entries, but that wasn't the fact in this matter.

I'll write again because when a user re-posts, it removes our previous reply. We are a commercial company and it is common and widely acceptable to put limitations on the free version in order to encourage users to upgrade to the paid version. However, if a user is satisfied with these limitations, he may keep using the app unlimitedly for free. Our free version allows adding up to 3 feed items. If you click the "Add feed item" while 3 items already exist, it brings up the upgrade popup. Also, in the free version, if the app is installed multiple times, it shows the same feed in all instances. In the premium version, it is possible to show different feeds with different items on the same website unlimitedly. Anyway thanks for the review, and good luck.

Impossible to accurately create news articles
The paragraph area they give you to type is ridiculously small, is covered by text, and can't be placed in a position where you can see what your typing!!!!!!

Terrible
The box size cannot be adjusted to replicate a REAL TICKER the way they look on the news. The box is huge and will not adjust to a real ticker size. THIN THIN that's a real ticker, not a 4 inch high box

You contacted us directly in parallel to writing this review, so I'll repeat my answer here: In the Banner Layout, the box height is set automatically to fit your content. Your ticker is very high because you are using a huge font size. Please open the app-settings | Design Tab and try a smaller font-size for the title and story. This will reduce the ticker height. Also, please see if you have extra newlines in your feed items - we do allow multiple lines feed items, because some users requested this option, but obviously this makes the feed taller.

Very poor/doesn't work
DO NOT USE THIS APP I have now decided to move to Ionos given the poor customer service from this 3rd party company and WIX. I set this app up on my website and paid the subscription, the app links to my pages doesn't work. Yes you can create your own news like we did and add images, but what's the point if when visitors to my website click on the links and they get a 404? Useless app.

You provided broken links (I also wrote it to you by email). When you try the link you sent to us by email in a browser, it shows 404, which means the link is broken. So I'm not sure how it is related to the quality of our app. By the way, a "404" means that a page is not found, not an app which is inside a page, so our app cannot actually make a Wix page show a "404". If there is a problem in an app, Wix website will show the page and an error message in the area where the app was supposed to be. But as you described, this is not the case here. Regarding our customer service - we almost always answer within 24 hours (and this is also what we did in your case). I'm sorry that you are not satisfied with it.

Since moving from Moonfruit to Wix it has been a nightmare. Nno real support and things just don't work. Wish the change just did not happen

Japanese style sentence
In Japanese style sentence, traditional column article is start by " "(Blank space). So, I want to be able to use space (*and line break) for the first character of a column body. (*The spacing between the title and the body is just right in English, but too narrow in Japanese, so it needs to be adjusted.)

Typical causes: (1) Not using the "Save Item" (confusing with the Wix Editor "Save" Button), (2) clicking outside the app-settings before saving or (3) not publishing after making changes.

If this is the case, you can see your items in Wix Editor, but they are not posted on your live site. It would have been cool if it would work
I added the Ticker, but it didn't work on my live site.... it kept saying it needed to be refreshed. After trying three times, I gave up. :(

Thank you for the review. We are a commercial firm and the app was created as part of our business model. The free version is limited for up to 3 news items, and for some of our users this is enough, and those are welcome to use it indefinitely. Otherwise, it serves as a demo before making a decision to upgrade. Many users appreciate the app's benefits and decide to pay the monthly charge, which is, by the way, the lowest fee allowed by Wix for 3rd party apps. However, thank you very much for your feedback.

Simply not working
I paid the premium version right away because I really need this app. The feed updates makes me crazy. Each time I'm writing 3 news, save and publish they simply disappear. Impossible to make it work and bonus points, impossible to find a way to contact the support, don't waste your time (and money)

I'm sorry that you feel this way. Contacting us is really simple, and is similar to other apps in Wix: just open the app-settings and choose "Support" Tab. Reading your description, most probably you did not click the "Save Item" after entering a feed item before clicking outside the app-settings (which unfortunately closes it). Please do not confuse with the "Save" button of the Wix Editor which only saves the site layout. Please contact us if you need further assistance. We mostly answer within 24 hours.

Does not even begin to work
Every time I type a news item it erases itself, if I add 50 news items none of them will show up on the website, just a blank block, no matter how many times I redo it and publish the site, nothing works, desktop nor mobile, absolute shame that someone is allowed to keep an app like this up for sale if they won't even maintain the app and make sure it still works because clearly they have not done this

We have thousands of happy users that do not think like you, and Wix wouldn't leave our app in the market if it didn't work. In many cases users forget to click the "Save Item" before closing the app-settings, or something similar. it repeats the same news a million times. Absurd!
You enter one news in the news ticker and it appears 20 times. You enter the 2nd, and then it is ten of each. It is absurd. I want my money back! - It is not normal. I happen to be in this line of work for years. I have never seen a ticker that you cannot edit and decide yourself whether you want the same line twenty times or just one. Please refund me. Thank you.

Not worth $3 a month at all
Very basic; I was in a hurry and regret using it. Now I can't figure out how to cancel my premium service and have overdrafted an account because of it.

I am sorry you feel this way (unlike many of our happy premium users). We have the free version with which one can check whether the app fits their needs before upgrading to premium. If you don't find how to cancel your subscription in your Wix account settings, please contact us directly and we will gladly help you to do that. We are always glad to listen to constructive feedback. If you have specific remarks about what can be improved or added, we will be glad to hear. Many suggestions sent to us by users soon became new features of the app.

Can't add new feeds
I can only add two feeds and not 3 as the free licence should allow. I can't delete and add new feeds.... I remove this news feed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
