Zero Security for File Sharing

Someone one client uploaded private documents into another client's private folder. This is unacceptable and appalling. There is no level of security in this platform.

Doesn't Work

I click the "share button, and a box pops up with an option to copy the link, but the displayed link box is empty. Can't just copy and paste the file location either - get a 403 Forbidden error when you do that.

Does not allow public access without users logging in

Site permissions are set to allow public access but it still prompts users to Sign Up. The AI help feature also produces an incorrect answer.

This is NOT a scalable option

If you are looking for a robust file sharing system for your clients, DO NOT use the Wix File Share option. It is good for incorporation if you need very limited folders. Here is the response from the tech team when requested improvement. "Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, what you are suggesting is not possible at this time since this would require redevelopment of the app. Our developers are currently focusing their efforts on addressing more critical bugs and implementing essential features that require their immediate attention. " Net, it seems Wix does not consider this an important offering; which I can understand prioritization, but it makes this app much less useful.

More than 100 folders the app crashes

When you have more than 100 folders the app crashes, and you will not have access to File Share anymore. The answer of customer service is: "Delete folders", it´s a joke.

File Share not permitting me to upload any files

I keep getting an error message when i'm trying to upload PDF. and Word Document Files. ANNOYED!

"Pricing plan" tags cant' be translated and customized and when you contact the support to try to solve that, the conversation is getting closed before the expert send any solution or answer...

Key feature MISSING

Doesn't make sense that every site visitor or member can see every file should be an option that owner should be able uploaded files. So annoying other than that great. Reply to WIX: No I simply want to be able to add the feature that people submitting cannot see other people submissions, it is basic privacy. I would like the option so that each member can submit to a folder that for them contains only their work but for me contains every members submissions. Thank you

Battling with this app

I have tried adding this app multiple times and it just does not work. after adding to my site I could not get any files retrieved. Also I started getting lots of 429 error codes which is hugely frustrating.

Site Visitor View Permission Not Working

Site Visitor View Permission Not Working. Set folder access permissions to be view for all site visitors and it’s still requiring a sign-in. I want all visitors to be able to view and download the files as needed.

I have not used it because I am having to work too hard to figure out how to use it. Where are the instructions?

Not showing up on published website

I cannot view any of my shared files on my published website. I have changed all permissions to allow all visitors to view my files and it is still giving me trouble. Maybe there is something I am doing wrong but there are no troubleshoot help for this problem.

Major Issues

Set up a paywall so members can share files. I LOVED it at first. Worked fine for a day. Now, members see "This folder is empty," and there have been no changes or settings messed with since I set it up. I'm hoping this is a glitch that quickly gets fixed.

Rubbish like most wix

Spent hours wasted time just to find there is no way to limit which members can see files, its either make it all public or give access to one member. rubbish.

Em vez de compartilhar qualquer arquivos ou pasta juntos, NÃO! O Certo seria: Criar várias pastas e arquivos, e para cada um, seja pasta ou arquivo, compartilhar separadamente e não juntos. Exemplo: Tenho 3 arquivos diferentes, eu quero compartilhar cada um separadamente. Quando a pessoa ao qual eu compartilhei um arquivo dos 3, entrar na página pelo site, ele verá somente 1 arquivo e não os 3 juntos. Ai sim seria um ótimo APP.

It doesn't work!

This app seemed fine at first but the layout takes up loads of space and then after a while NONE of my files could be viewed, it's hopeless!

Files not there in Published Mode

Looks good in preview, works fine, all documents are there, then I publish the website and the folder is empty!!!!!!!!

App should be customizeble at minimum like contact form

So many bugs and errors

Not worth time using this app. A lot of gliches, using the folders doesn't translate well on mobile. Plus now that I want to get ride of it, I have to delete my whole page and can't just remove the feature. I just found google drive share and it seems to be a much better option.

BOOO

WASTED HOURS trying to upload, organize, delete files. Add-on's could not be deleted. The published view has glitches with previous add-ons, but the editor view does not show them, so it's impossible to delete. BOOOO

Does not allow us to share our software in ZIP format

Clearly we've found out that Wix provides information in a misleading way or does not provide it at all. After all, it limits ZIP files to 1Gb, and worse does not allow us to share our software installer with our customers, and the Wix is using the false argument that it's a security feature. I wonder our the WIX developers download Visual Studio installer? ANY BASIC file sharing allows that.

Very Basic need more options for member viewing privilege's

need option where members can restrict their uploads to only their view or admin

Files are not and cannot be set to private and can be viewed by ALL site members

I tried to work with Wix for WEEKS trying to get my problem solved, even when a file is set to private and assigned to one site member only, all files uploaded can be visible, viewed and accessed by all site members. Wix told me they cannot solve the problem but that they will "make a note of it"... As a personal coach who needs to constantly share private and personalized plans to my clients, I REALLY wanted to love this app/page but, it is entirely useless

Permissions does NOT work :(

All site member can see and download everything even if you set folder to individual member.

Google Fonts Issue

This plug-in has some fonts included, which are not shown on the front-end, but loads them anyway in them background. This is already the base for legal problems with the GDPR law. Unable to disable the fonts. However, no google font is selected in the settings, but shows the URL to gstatic anyway.

Key Features Missing

File size upload limits are truly annoying...Also, not being able to separate when users can view & download? You should be able to set permissions as you want. You can't have people submitting files and then anyone being able to download them...

I dislike this app

It is the ONLY way to download text files and it is very clunky. Meanwhile other media files have a much better interface. I would give it zero stars if I could
