Uplift: Gift Aid

Uplift: Gift Aid adds UK Gift Aid to the donations you take on your site, so your charity or CASC can claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 a UK taxpayer gives. Place the Gift Aid widget on your donation pages. Donors give their name and home address and agree to HMRC's declaration wording, which names your charity. Each declaration is saved with the exact wording shown and the date. Every donation payment is recorded and matched to its donor's declaration, including past and future gifts. Refunds are tracked, and anything refunded after you claimed is worked out as an adjustment for your next claim. When you're ready to claim, the app fills in HMRC's own Gift Aid schedule spreadsheet (.ods) with every eligible donation. You attach it in Charities Online and submit the claim yourself. The app never contacts HMRC. Donors who gave without Gift Aid can get one email from your charity the next day, with a link to add it. You can also record paper and phone declarations, cancel declarations, and export everything to CSV. To claim Gift Aid, your charity must be recognised by HMRC and use Charities Online.
