Order Deposits lets customers pay a deposit and the balance before you ship — on one real order, with your books intact. HOW IT WORKS Your customer shops normally and picks your deposit option at checkout. The full order is recorded with correct price, tax, shipping and inventory, marked partly paid. The buyer pays the deposit right away, and you send a balance link when the order is ready. No spreadsheets, no placeholder products, no manual card entry. Some trades call this a down payment — the mechanics are the same. SETUP Two one-time steps in your dashboard: enable a manual payment method named for deposits, and publish a Payment Request Page. The app walks you through both. GOOD TO KNOW This is a deposit tool, not a lending or pay-later product. Goods are held until paid in full. Deposits are calculated on the merchandise subtotal, so the amount shown before checkout is the amount charged.
