Wix team brings more updates to Wix Portfolio.
ATTENTION WIX TEAM, the app is actually good, but it needs some URGENT features to replace Wix Photo Album. Wix Portfolio needs to have the option for people to download media separately, and it also needs to have the option to import other files such as PDF, for example. It also needs to have the option to automatically watermark files, just like it was in the photo album. Please bring these updates. I used to use the photo album, but due to a problem with your system I no longer have access to it and this has affected my service to my clients. This has left me very disappointed because there is no app like the photo album. The closest thing is Wix Portfolio, but it needs the updates I mentioned above. If it doesn't happen, I'm thinking of removing my website from Wix.

unable to manage title and description attributes on images

Frustrating but i might persevere. Some questions / tips...
I get the layout needs to be standardised as a compromise versus doing all this from scratch. But while this app evolves some notes... 1. better explain the hierarchy of 3 layers - I created a mystery page I could not find in the pages navigation ( turns out this is the "Collections" 'layer' not a named page ) but which i could force into the menu bar using the "add menu item" and figure out a URL <website/portfolio-collections/collection-name> Or you can just embed as a collection gallery which is kinda cool ... if you know where to look (My Business / Wix Portfolio / Add Featured Collections Gallery) 2. maybe add a standard button to get out of a project back to the "collection" or "collections" level. Esp as you cannot launch into the project as a new window... ...to fix this I realised you can add a section above the "project pages" but not easy to do if you have headers turned off (you can add a section below then move it up) Frustrating - but I might persevere!

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We will take it into serious consideration as we continue to grow and improve. Please note, that you can indeed add your own link or button onto the project page which can lead back to your collections page, if you move the portfolio element down a bit and leave yourself some room just above it. The tricky bit is that you will need to publish the site first, "grab" the URL to the collections page and then go back into your editor to add this URL to the button/link to navigate back to it. We hope that helps and that you will get all you need out of our app :)

Great! A few things to consider...
Love how easy it is to manage the work on here. I wish you could add links or bold text in the project description. Also, I REALLY wish I could add "sections" of text in between images to give my design projects context and explain things and the process. Also, with video that are set in auto-play, sometimes when both videos are in the viewport, only one can play at a time. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your feedback! 1. You can add links using the Link field in your Basic Info section, but are you asking if you can add hyperlinks and bolded text within the description itself? If so, we will add that request to our feature request list. 2. We will add the request to add text sections to your gallery as well. In the meantime, you can add text as images to your gallery in between other images in order to create that look visually without having the option to add text blocks for now. 3. As for the videos, auto play has a hierarchy. The video within the field of view plays automatically and those outside of the field of view do not. However, if there are more than one video in the field of view at once, it will play first, second...etc. This logic is used to help with page load times. An alternative method you can use to get around this method is to use animated gif's rather than videos, if its an option for short clips.

Please Advise
Overall the site works fine for my work. I have one huge issue that hopefully you can help to resolve. When you scroll over the images on the homepage they zoom-in. I can't seem to turn that function off. Can someone please advise?

I don't want collections
I can't get rid of the collections. I want people to be able to click Portfolio and then it just lists all of my projects...no collections

If you only have one collection and all the projects within that single collection, there will only be projects showing on your site. If you have any trouble setting it up that way, please contact us at portfoliofeedback@wix.com for help. We will assist you to get it the way you want. cant get certain features to work
The AI feture that allows you to upload photos and it creates a title and discription for you does not seem to work anymore. it worked once but i decided to delete and redo but its no longer an option

Please clear your browser's cache and cookies and try again. If this does not work, please contact wix.com/contact via Wix Media >> Wix Photography >> Wix Portfolio and type into the chat bar that the AI assistant is no longer working. A technical agent will help you from there. Once it is working again, we hope you will consider updating your review :)

when it works its pretty good
when it works it's pretty good, besides the lack of customization. but for me I get an error every once in a while where suddenly the portfolio page is all greyed out and over my homepage. If I delete it, the whole layout is deleted and I cannot connect it to the dashboard again so I have to delete the app and install it again and start from scratch. very frustrating but fixable.

That is very strange and we're sorry you have been experiencing such an issue. We recommend that if you get an error randomly, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. Sometimes information gets "stuck" there and can cause an error. If this does not resolve the problem, please contact us at portfoliofeedback@wix.com with a screenshot of the issue and let us know what browser, OS and device you are using when it happens and if you can recall any details about what leads up to this error. We hope that once everything is working smoothly for you, you will consider updating your review :)

Extremely frustrating to work with. Almost no customization whatsoever and looks super generic. Might be a skill issue, but if that's the case then the app is not userfriendly. it works fine, but not the way i want it to. it does not show up in the "add elements/item" bar, and i am unable to show the projects without the collection. I would love to just choose to show my projects. I dont want a portfolio "page" I want a section with my projects that i can customize - and after countless tutorials and guides - I still do not understand how to make the app do what i want it to do. I am disappointed, confused and tired.
