Absolument pas intuitif, très lourd à manipuler, et surtout un bug qui vient rendre le tout inutilisable 24h après l'installation, à moins de désinstaller et résinstaller l'application (ce qui revient à perdre toutes les données et donc les 4h de travail réalisés pour remplir les projets). Absolute Garbage
Once you get it to look good on web, it looks terrible for mobile. If you move one project page on mobile to get rid of the weird large gaps, it moves all the other project pages too. Nothing lines up. nothing looks good. Built by wix is a big ol skip it for me from now on.

Can't Edit Elements- Incredibly Frustrating
This is my first time really using wix, and I thought the portfolio option would be great for showing my work. I plugged in all my media and text just to find out that I couldn't edit any of the layout on the actual webpage?? Its so frustrating because the layout of the headers and descriptions look terrible but you can't do anything to move the position of the elements. I can't believe I put in all this effort just to have to change it or deal with the web design looking bad. I would not recommend using this app.

I want folders on my Gallery page and images in some of those folders and more folders within the others which would then contain images. Or more folders. Nope! Make some Collections and fill it with projects. That's all you get.

Does not do what is advertised
I created a Wix website to use as a portfolio for my professional writing. During the setup process, Wix asked me several times what kind of portfolio I wanted to make and each time I selected "writing". It then pre-installed this Portfolio app onto my website which is ONLY compatible with images, not documents. Absolute waste of time.

Creates confusion for website
The app creates too many clauses with website. It's not clear as to what it's supposed to do. It creates problems on other pages, in my case the home page, leaving a large gap of blank space. The layout designs need to be improved. The layout designs are too large and don't create space for description. Very cumbersome app to work with.

Cross-device inconsistency & unwanted portfolio project duplication
The spacing and alignments in the web and mobile editors are not synchronizing correctly. This discrepancy is causing significant layout issues as elements appear in incorrect locations on the mobile site compared to their placement in the desktop, and gaps are appearing on the mobile site that are not present in the desktop version. These inconsistencies are forcing me to constantly switch between editors and make manual adjustments, which is time-consuming and frustrating. In addition, when attempting to create new portfolio projects, I'm experiencing unwanted duplication. New projects are automatically populated with content from existing projects, deleting projects and starting fresh does not resolve the issue, as deleted files and old formatting are still being added to new projects. This problem is severely limiting my ability to create unique project entries efficiently while maintaining an accurate representation of my work.

Not customisable. Bugs. No support.
Good: an easy to handle CMS for end clients. Currently the only way to have a projects collection with a video as project cover, or a gallery with mixed videos and images (please wake up to that, Wix). Bad: everything else. The layout options are extremely limited with hardly any editing possible to the presets. I can't move or resize elements on the preset pages, or change paragraph alignments. Wix often crashes while using the app. Bugs include changes not auto updated between the CMS and the site, crashes, and more. Update: I wrote to the portfolio team asking for support on a specific topic and was ignored. Not great, again.

Way too many flaws with layout!!
The layout needs be a lot better, cannot modify the enough to my liking. Please fix this. The layout should be something we can center the text for. It has lot of bugs.

Seem Very Extra
As a designer who might be this app's largest user group, the function is very restricted. Not only the design part is limited not all projects can accept just one template. It would've been better if I could make my own template for the project and also still have the freedom to add other stuff like extra text, spacing, etc.

Every time I try to add text onto a project page in the portfolio it adds onto every project page, I don't know how to get the text to upload separately on each.

Hello, it sounds like you are trying to add text to the actual design page within the editor. The pages of the portfolio app are dynamic, meaning there is only one page to design for each part of the app. For example, you will see that you create a single design for the Collections page and a Single design for the project pages. This design is then applied to all collections and all projects once you publish the site. The actual content of the Collections and Projects are added in the dashboard, where you have a separate editor for each. Muito ruim, as fotos na galeria ficam péssimas, com tamanhos e ordem aleatórios, além da imagem da capa, quando aberta na página do projeto fica em diferente tamanho e resolução. A diagramação da página do projeto acaba por ficar horrível, pois não temos nenhum tipo recurso para melhor a galeria, pois se eu arrumo para uma página ela muda todas as outras. Já tentei todos os templates oferecidos, e todos são péssimos. A página com todos os projetos até que é arrumadinha, mas quando abro no projeto é uma tristeza. Muito decepcionada.

HORRIBLE!! Disappeared and won't open
After working for so long on the items in the portfolio, editing text and SEO, the whole thing vanished. It won't show on the website and whenever I search for the app I get an "open" button and simply nothing happens! This is shameful of wix to present such a product!!

We will have a look at your account to see what may have happened. From your explanation, it sounds like perhaps an element on the website editor was deleted, but that should not remove any of the work you did in the dashboard and can be re-added to your site to reveal all of your work again. An sich eine gute Idee im schönen Look. Wenn da bloß die Bugs nicht wären, die die Benutzung zu einer reinen Geduldsprobe machen! Für mich ist die Reihenfolge der Fotos in den Projekt extrem wichtig. Nicht nur dass die "Sortieren nach Name" oder sonst einem anderen Attribut überhaupt nicht funktioniert. Die Bilder sind dann trotzdem willkürlich sortiert. Sondern auch das manuelle Sortieren geht nicht. Die Kacheln spielen beim Verschieben völlig verrückt. Bilder verschwinden und tauchen an irgend einer zufälligen stelle wieder auf. Bilder die man gar nicht verschoben hat, sind auf einmal wo anders. Eine richtige Zeitverschwendung. Und es gibt nicht mal eine anständige Alternative dazu. Sehr schade!!

This is TRASH
You can't move the pages onto your main site. It opens up as another "main" like drop down and 3 pages for the portfolio. You can move it around in the new dropdown but it will not move into the main actual area you're working in. It's really trash because at that point you're just better off trying to remake it from scratch. I didn't want to believe all the bad reviews but it's true it's trash.

From what we understand here it sounds like you are not happy with the way you navigate through the dynamic portfolio pages on your site, but we believe (if we understand you correctly) that the work you have done and the portfolio pages can be united so that you have a cohesive navigation. For example, if you want the main portfolio page to contain other elements that you already created, you can add a section to the main page and add that content. We can discuss details when you email us. Once everything is working the way you want, we hope you will consider updating your review :)

Changed to generic templates
I swear you used to be able to customize the pages entirely by dragging the elements. Now everything is locked in place and only the font and such can be changed. No clue why they ruined it. Useless now.

Hi there, it sounds like you are confusing regular wix pages with the portfolio app which was designed with dynamic pages so that you can design one page that will be applied to all your projects. While you can use the preset layouts, you can also customize them, but not by drag and drop. Disappearing work - lost hours of work
I did hours of work setting up projects and collections (which by the way are not well identified, so unless you are the developer, you probably will get them mixed up), only to have the whole thing just disappear. One minute it's there, the next it's not.

We're sorry to hear that you have encountered such an issue. In our portfolio dashboard, the projects and collection tabs are marked in two separate tabs in order to help identify them easily. You will also see these titles at the top of the dashboard pages. All content uploaded into the portfolio dashboard is automatically saved, so it is very strange to hear that you have lost content. Did you publish your site at any point during your portfolio creation? Can you please contact us at portfoliofeedback@wix.com with screenshots showing where you are confused about projects vs collections and the area you seem to have lost work in? We will help you sort it out and when we do, we hope you will consider updating your review :)

Catastrophique
Aucune flexibilité ! L'enfer pour un designer graphique ! J'essaye de l'utiliser sur le template Catapult (portfolio). Alors l'effet wahoo de présentation du template, nous fait tomber de bien haut ensuite ! Dès que l'on créé des catégories, imposssible d'avoir une page portfolio avec tous les projets par exemple. La gestion du menu principal est totalement contre-intuitive que ce soit pour le design ou le contenu. En bref, on se perd, tout est confu et on pête un câble ! Un template IMPERSONNALISABLE ! Je viens de passer des jours à essayer de trouver une solution et rien... Et pourtant, je suis flexible pour m'adapter à certaines contraintes, mais là, il ne s'agit plus de contrainte mais d'un enfermement ! Une mise à jour de l'appli est indiquée mais j'ai beau cliquer, elle ne se fait pas. Extrêmement déçue... C'est le genre d'appli et template qui dévalorise Wix Studio à mes yeux.

Unable to Customize
In portfolio page, I can only use the preset arrangement and I am unable to adjust the location of text. They are all fixed with image.

Yes, we do have preset layouts for the portfolio app to help ensure a clean and unified design across all projects and collections in your finished portfolio. However, we have an open feature request where you can add your vote for the option to move elements around freely: https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-portfolio-request-reposition-project-page-elements The more votes it gets, the more likely it will become available. Once you have everything you need, we hope you will consider updating your review :)

It's impossible to use
I spent hours to make my portfolio using this app. And it still doesn't work properly (there are always different problems and I don't have so much time to solve them). At first there was a problem with the length that did not adjust to the length of each project (for mobile devices). I solved it by choosing another layout. After that I added another project and this problem appeared again, but for a desktop device. I can't keep every project the same length, because they all are different and some pictures can be longer. So I was forced to delete the application and connect Behance instead.

Why cant I create separate project pages?

The portfolio (on the site editor) only shows you one of the pages in order to allow you to set up your design settings. The multi-page collections and projects (of which you can set up as many as you need) is all done in the dashboard. Once you publish the media added in your dashboard, and the design you chose in the site editor will populate and ALL of your pages will appear on your live site, with the design implemented from the single page you saw in your editor. Because it is a dynamic page (a single page that is only representative of what will show on all pages for the layout and design), it may seem as if you can only create one page. We hope this helps. Impossible à mettre en oeuvre
Aprés des heures à préparer le portfolio depuis le menu de gestion des sites. Le lien est impossible à établir avec le site. Beaucoup de temps perdu pour rien.

Desappointed
Everything was working, until you have to add Portfolio Pages on your website, nothing happening when you click on it, no new pages, nothing. I tried with the Blog app and any "new page" is working and appear. Please fix this bug. Regards,

We would be happy to help you with this at portfoliofeedback@wix.com - it sounds like you are trying to create Categories that have Projects within each separate Category and that is just how this app is set up for you, but there may be a bit of a learning curve.
