Age Check: Age Verification

Age Check asks visitors to confirm their age before they see the site. It suits wine and spirits shops, vape and tobacco stores, CBD shops, bars, clubs and other adults-only sites. Once it is switched on, every page is covered on computers, phones and tablets, and the page stays hidden behind the gate until the visitor answers. The owner sets the minimum age, from 18+ or 21+ to any age, and every word the visitor reads. Visitors answer with Yes and No buttons, or by typing their date or year of birth. Someone too young sees the owner's own message or is sent to another address, and an answer is remembered for as many days as the owner chooses. The gate takes the site's colours from six ready styles or from four colour pickers with a live preview in the dashboard, and a "Check my live site" link shows the gate on the real site. The free plan has no app branding on the visitor's screen. Premium adds birth date and birth year entry, a logo and background image, fonts, width, corners, a full-screen layout and blur, texts for each site language, and rules for gating only chosen pages. Age Check asks visitors to declare their age; it does not check identity documents.
