Reviewing Modalyst

Excellent support. Product choices they don’t have much in my niche, or the items have high shipping rates. Still learning how to fix this.

Pro version is free when you are a Wix Premium Account

This is not immediately clear when you sign up. I thought they were charging me, but the Pro version of Modalyst is included in the Wix Premium subscription. Don't love that the products are all largely from Alibaba. Would rather have more sustainable options available. Also no way to sort based on items that are customizable.

Alles ok...ein wenig verwirend das man 2 mal verschieben muss damit es im Shop landet. Ich habe keine Kategorie gefunden wo man die Artikel von Modalyt verschiebt.

Know what it is good for

I find modalyst useful if you are doing print on demand using modalyst items they have in their warehouse, and if your dropshipping is primarily for the US market. If you are from abroad and was not intending to "cloud your business in the US" then the print on demand just makes no sense as you will be shipping from the states to your country where your customer is. Also dont use the aliexpress not only does it fluctuate pretty fast, it also takes 1-3 months for it to ship due to various logistics issues

Functionality of app needs to improve, but overall a decent way to make money.

It does get frustrating that you can only have 5 products on the import list at a time, and it is super buggy. I often have to restart my browser when a listing is just not cooperating. With that said, the network access to great products ready-to-sell from China is good. Modalyst is a worthy app to have, but developers should improve it.

When I first started on Modalyst, I assumed that they had automatically wanted me to pick the starter plan without first testing the hobby plan (My bad). I was assisted by Jill Sherman who was really nice and engaging; she explained to me that when I purchased my annual Wix plan that I was automatically given the Modalyst starter plan with my Wix subscription. I thought to myself "Wooo this is awesome". So I now have items from Modalyst setup in my store. It was quite smooth setting things up. Now I will see how the products sell once I start marketing and advertising. I will update my review to let others know how the items I placed in my store are progressing.

The usual Great but.....

The only issue I have so far is some of the products. I place new products in my store with 10,000 in stock, the next day I will get a notification that the item is out of stock, I removed the item from my store, and the next day the same items are in stock with a different supplier. Wasting lots of time... Happened multiple times already.

Modalyst has been easy to integrate and use from the start. The experience is seamless and the chrome extension super useful. Try it and see !

Works Well

The integration of Modalyst with my website has worked well. The vendors and items available through the platform have been OK, I have really only found one vendor that has consistently contributed to business in the past year, but that one has done quite well. So 4 stars because the tech is good, I have absolutely done a nice business with them, but "shopping" for a new drop-shipper could use improvement.

So far i am having issues with products but Jill has been in contact to resolve the issue as quick as possible which I appreciate. Im waiting to the issue to be resolved for a further review!

Easy to integrate and manage

Sometimes prices don't sync correctly between what I see on the suppliers side versus what I'm seeing on Modalyst but it is not a pattern.

I havent tried the private label products yet but my customers seem happy so far!

Seems ok. Lots of selections. Keeps track pretty easy. You do have to input the orders into modalyst after they are made on your site but it's not too hard.

Modalyst rating

The app has a wide range of excellent high quality products and a friendly support team. When I had problems or issues it was things that I did not set up correctly. Modalyst is there to help and assist you through your e-commerce journey. Be patient and persevere!!!

my experience

I love that i have access to so many products. But the down side is, I am limited to how many I can sell with a member ship that is in my budget. this makes it hard. This would be better if we had at least 50 products for this level of membership. there is not much you can do with 25. I am sure this would be great for the manufactures. but over all the app is easy to use.

Opportunities for brand promotion

I’ve never been in a dropshipping program that offers a line of products that you can put your own logo on. I’m very pleased with that opportunity. I wish that the items weren’t so niche, but i must admit that it’s a high demand niche. I like how they offer you the option to dropship directly from AliExpress. AliExpress has a huge variety of things. The only thing I would wish for is that the auto-brandable items weren’t so limited within themselves, but if you’re good at working magic, I highly recommend this app because they have so many other brands to choose from right along with theirs, and as previously mentioned, they have AliExpress items!

I really have enjoyed having the option to do dropshipping! Savoy Active is one of my favorite brands to work with.

Great potential but they need more products servicing the Uk and EU for me to give an even better rating!

Issue with AliExpress products

When you add items from AliExpress to your import list on Modalyst, It won't let you Add to your store if the item's description is more than 80 characters, Which happens with a big percentage of products. You have to go thru each item and rewrite the description. I can do better for y online store for the time I waste on rewriting the description. I wish they fix this. Besides that, the products in their 4 categories are amazing.

Wonderful addition

I love the app for my business. It needs more options for plus size ladies and men. In my business of comfortable clothing, I cater to all sizes. Other than that this is a wonderful app for all users. Great pricing! Great quality! Great options! User friendly! Easy to use! It is great!

So far, so good!

It's incredibly easy to set up. Almost too easy... I have a setting displaying the shipping location and I must have clicked it too fast during set up because I can't get it to go away. Oh well! It's not that bothersome. Other than that, this app integration is really great - efficient, fast, and easy to use. I'm excited to start the Private Label program.

Appears Very Beginner/User Friendly

I am just more deeply researching Modalyst today and decided to sign up and try out the dropshipping services. I am having a user friendly experience so far. I look forward to building with Modalyst. I appreciate the prefilled filter options to help guide our search for suppliers and any special demographics or causes we may be trying to support. I am really excited about the private label products also. I just would have appreciated having more of a preview of the catalog product options prior to signing up. Thank you.

Right Dropshipping Solution

Modalyst has eliminated the trauma of trying to satisfy every customer's need with the richness of dropshipping suppliers. No need to have large capital or inventory!! However, there is need to on how to calculate mark-up as it is too simplistic and doesn't apply to all products. Again other products from AliExpress don't sync as shipping methods don't show.

I have recently just started using Modalyst, and find its product selection and easy store importation to be very helpful. So far, so good!
