Contact Collection offered me features that the Mailchimp app does not. I'm able to make a beuatiful customizable form that matches the design of my wix site. It's working great so far (and it's been several months of using it now!).

hidden pricing
why do I have to install the app, set it up, and only then do I get the prompt to upgrade which tells me the difference between free and paid version? I searched everything on the Wix side, went to your website, still couldn't find the comparison and pricing its been deleted before could try it! For others to save you looking - you can upload 50 names in total before you have to pay

Hi, Thanks for reaching out. We are very sorry to hear you had this bad experience. Like most third-party apps on the Wix marketplace, we are a freemium app, no one tries to hide it. Apps let you try out the app before you need to purchase it and we are no different. On top of that, we only charge the minimum amount that premium apps can charge on the Wix marketplace. Wix shows the upgrade comparison table when you click the purple button. But with any questions or concerns users can email us and we respond quickly. We are not a free application, we never claimed to be. We have our expenses as a company, just like any company. Good luck with your website.

I love this, perfect integration with Mailchimp
The app took a couple of minutes to set up, it was very easy. Then I customized everything in the design to fit my website colors and look. Worked great ever since and users are signing up. Great and easy app.

What does this app even do, I have to log in mail chimp outside of the website

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. Our app helps you collect subscribers to your Mailchimp lists. In order for the app to be connected to your Mailchimp account and have permission to send your subscribers, you must log in to your Mailchimp account via Oauth authentication. This is a one-time thing just to set up the app and give it permission. Once you have finished with the log-in you may select the Mailchimp audience you wish the app sends your subscribers to.

I'm disappointed that wix don't provide this app as part of a paid subscription, why pay twice??

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. Wix has different apps in their app market. Similar to an iPhone, those apps extend the functionality available by Wix. We are a third party app, we are not Wix itself. We don't get paid anything from your subscription, only by users who try our app, enjoy it and decide to upgrade it. Please FIX
something is wrong with this app it isn't displaying correctly i purchased the widget on 2 of my websites for full subscriptions and there is a user face error please fix! www.mindgem.org and www.meditationcircle.org

Thank you for your review. An "automatic reply" feature actually does exist. It's called a "welcome email" it is sent to anyone who joins your list and you can enable it via the Mailchimp dashboard

So easy to use, connects with Mailchimp immediately
I am no expert website builder, I was looking for the easiest most simple way to integrate my website with Mailchimp and I found it. This app worked right away and it was even easy to make it look great on my website.

Wonderfully convenient app with a great support team!
I have to admit, I had the same problem as some other reviewers: namely, that I was having to add a lot of contacts manually to Mailchimp. I contacted the support team for help and got an answer VERY fast. For anyone wondering, it turns out I had Double Opt-in enabled, which basically adds an extra verification step to the sign-up process that not many contacts were bothering with. So I did what their support team suggested, disabled Double Opt-in, and the problem was solved! I highly recommend this app, not just because of the ease of convenience, but for the fantastic customer service I received.

Hit or miss
Sometimes it works beautifully and contacts are added seamlessly, then there are also many occasions when I have to add the submission manually as it hasn’t worked, even though I’ve had the submission email.

We have thousands of subscribers that go through our system to Mailchimp every day. If a subscriber failed to be sent, it will be retried by the system. Eventually, you will never miss a subscriber and you do not need to add anything manually. What about accessibility?
Update: I'm changing my review to 5 stars due to the very quick response by their support team. It's a glitch that needs to be addressed by Wix and is not under the control of Contact Collection (or any other widget developer for that matter). Thank you very much for clarifying. I appreciate it. :-) Original message: I'm trying to get it to play nicely with keyboard only navigation (tab through) but the lightbox X (close) becomes a keyboard trap. :-( If there is a fix, I'll make it 5 stars.

Doesn't add subscriber
I added this feature to my website but wanted it on my Contact Us page. I couldn't move it. Then I subscribed myself and I did get a confirmation email but my Mailchimp Subscriber list didn't update with my new subscriber info. How does this work exactly if it doesn't add new subscribers in Mailchimp?

Hi, Thanks for trying Contact Collection. We have a very responsive support team that could have helped you right away. Contact Collection is a widget that can be set to any size and can be moved anywhere just like any other Wix element. Regarding the connection, inside the app you have a button to test the connection to Mailchimp, if there is any problem it will let you know and tell you how to fix it. For example, if you used your own Email address or an email address that was ever in your Mailchimp then Mailchimp won't add it to your list. Super Easy
This app is amazingly easy to set up, I haven't figured out how to connect it to my mailchimp however, but it makes signing up for customers super easy and sends me an email with each sign up.
