I use this app on every website I build. Really simple to use. Free. What more could you ask for?

Works Great

I'm able to customize it exactly how I need it for my website and it works flawlessly!

Small hick-ups, but overall good.

I see users complain about social icons not being able to be removed and layouts not being adjustable. No worries, alle that can be adjusted in the settings: just go to Display > Social sharing and to Design to changes the boxes to lines and edit font(size). Only problem I had was when editing the translations, the answer in the main language did not show up in the translation module. I copied all answers to Word and translated from there. Copy/paste, done.

Improvement suggestion

Would be better if you could have multiple instances, e.g. one per product or service, rather than having to rely on tabs to separate topics

Not working

Took me around 2 hours to create and answer the questions and when to integrate, disappear and say there is a technical issue on their part. That is disappointing because this is the second Wix app that, unfortunately, loses my time. Hope to be fixed. Update: I had given it another chance and tried again.Happy that the work I did yesterday was saved somehow. So today was successfully added.

The boxes are way to big - doesn't do much good guys.

Barely adequate

The design format is non adjustable. Boxes are way too big. And you can't delete any of the social media icons, that just galactically stupid. I don't use them so they are stuck there looking ugy.

UI works well, but could use better format options. API renders only draftjs.

Straighforward. Can embed links and media. But for API users... The Wix FAQ App V2 Question Entries API accepts richContent and plainText as answer formats per the schema, but the FAQ widget only renders draftjs. The API silently saves the other formats without error, leaving entries that exist in the data store but display as blank answers on the live site. Either reject the unsupported formats at write time, or make the widget render what the API accepts.

This is great!

I almost did not try this app due to the reviews, but I hated the way my make-shift FAQ page looked. I just installed it and it works really well!

It Does the Job

Ok I get why everyone is hating on this app. The simple reason is that it appears on your homepage and you can't remove it. All you have to do is cut: Ctrl + X (Windows) or Cmd ⌘ + X (Mac), and then paste: Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd ⌘ + V (Mac) it on the page you want to put it on.

Easy peasy

After reading some of the horrible reviews about this app, I was hesitant to try it. I added the FAQ app as a new page to my site and was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to edit, navigate and customize. If I had one wish it would be to customize the font to mirror the rest of my site, but otherwise, I'm very happy with the integration. Frankly, I found that any review in which people are having issues with things like social links or customizations, etc., were more a matter of the person not taking the time to go through the various menu and Settings options, or do a little Googling. Every question I had was easily answered by searching a bit. Very happy.

Ideal

This was very quick and easy to slot into an existing page, apply the site styles I wanted to use, etc. It even includes functionality I wasn't expecting, including search, categories, translation and social sharing. Far more than I needed. Perfect.

Doesn't work if FAQs are used multiple times across site

We have several different pages with this FAQs app on it, and while it functioned fine for years, will now show FAQS results from different pages if using the search function. Contacted support for over two months, and was just told that this is now expected behaviour, even though it means that incorrect information might be presented to site users. Really disappointed in this

Works good, easy set up.

Had it set up in minutes. Was able to hide it from the front page and then create a new FAQ page to use it there. Not sure why so many are saying you cannot hide/remove it from the homepage.

Useless

It ads a section to your homepage. You can't really move it and the options are extremely restrictive.

Way to complex for what it is. Do not waste you time.

How can I place the FAQ to the site of interest?

When I add a FAQ form to my website, it defaults to displaying on the homepage as a blank form with three empty collapsible boxes. How can I link the FAQ I created in the Wix editor to a specific page on the website?

Die FAQs von Wix sind schön übersichtlich auszufüllen und werden ebenso angezeigt auf der Website. Das Design lässt genug Spielraum, um die FAQs ästhetisch darzustellen. Mir fehlt lediglich die Möglichkeit eine Rundung an den Ecken einzustellen und die Abstände zwischen den Kategorieüberschriften zu verringern. Das sind jedoch Kleinigkeiten.

Random information out of nowhere.

Doesn't read your site, just pulls information from nowhere. Just drops on to the site pages and doesn't move or hide. It just covers the page, even better I created a FAQ and it matches the questions, but not my answers. You can't edit the links added to the answers and no actual people to help. AGAIN AI is a total misinform generating joke.

Cannot change answer text size

I can change the questions text size in the design tab, but not the answers text size. It needs to be updated with a fix.

Size issues

I can't reduce the size of my FAQ answers to less than 16px, even though I use sizes of 14 and 12 pixels on my website. I've tried everything.

Wix FAQ - Design Settings

I'm having trouble with the spacing between the title and questions in the mobile version of the Wix FAQ app. I've tried adjusting the spacing, indents, and heading alignment, but it didn't help. It looks like this is a technical issue, which I can show in a screenshot. Or could you please tell me how to adjust it so it's not so big? The FAQ block (questions and answers) is currently compressed and aligned to the left, and I'm unable to center or properly align it. I've tried various settings within the editor, but nothing has helped. How can I resolve this problem?

How the f**k is this the best option you have for a FAQ widget? There are random social media icons present and no way of removing. Unless there is a toggle somewhere far removed from here, similar to your forms, there is no way of removing these and this is taking too much time. It's now easier to vibe code an entire site than design with a template on wix. Insane.

Not ideal!

It looks good. But I am deleting due to java script issues, oversized html and other issues which I am only discovering now after weeks of customisation etc... I have on my main page and 3other pages to try and reduce content on a single page but that's just made it worse I think... Will be going back to the old fashioned route!

Don't waste your time.

About as unresponsive as it gets. Mobile breakpoint looks like it has 150 px of padding on one side, adjustments don't stick after publishing, font sizes are different on the published site. It's just all around trash. Support is unwilling to help.

Wix is only good looking for beginner but lots of bugs

It's horrible; it won't crawl by Google properly by default, and you have to keep refreshing or complain to them to fix the bugs, and also it won't display what I asked for.

No way to take of the stupid social sharing buttons. Not a lot of customizability. Other than it works ok.

Loads of room for growth

FAQs can't be added on separate pages. You can't allow just ONE FAQ section for the entire website! And you can't just show ALL sections with FAQS at the same time, it's simply not user-friendly and not customer-friendly. I tried so many things to simply have TWO SEPARATE faqs on two separate pages of my website with no success. Even if there is a way, it shouldn't be this hard to find it.

Bloats HTML for Site

This app executes well in theory, but it bloats HTML for the page you place it on, because it renders all of the FAQ sections on any page you place it on. In the end, you also end up with duplicate content issues, because the content is hidden but still reflected on the backend. Tried contacting Wix about the issue, they said that a solution was going to be de-listing a page and not allowing it to show up on google. They said it would still be live but it wouldn't rank on google. That's not an option as I have the FAQ on all of my category pages. Which means I would have to remove those pages from google to fix the issue. Instead, I am manually making an FAQ section with text boxes to make sure that only what I want per page/category shows up on google. Otherwise, I have tons of bloated HTML and duplicate content. I would not recommend this app to anyone.

Do not install!

Despite the poor reviews, i decided to test it out... i shouldent have... it immediatly messed up my site and moved things in the wrong position. Thankfully i was able to restore it.

FAQ does not get displayed

I added the FAQ app to my website. It doesn't get displayed neither in preview nor on the website. I did everything the support AI told me to do and it still did not work. Very frustrating.

Why delete the added FAQ on the website after the update???

So, Wix decided to update the layout of the FAQ app, and the plugin is just gone from the website? REALLY? Now I have to re-add the plugin to all the pages where this FAQ plugin was included. AMAZING! P.S. FIXED the issue means bringing back the old version of Wix FAQ? And then removing the plugin from all pages where it was installed. That's what you call FIXED?

cant make more than one

its bizarre you have to make a whole "app" for it, why is it not just a add on feature? like its not that complicated of a concept. And I cant figure out how to have 2 different FAQs on my site it is bizarre

Need improvement

Wix FAQ isn't publishing the changes, even after multiple saving, publishing, refreshing and only starts working again after removing and re-adding the app.

Works MUCH Better Than The Reviews Say

This app deserves 4 stars or 5 stars. The Wix FAQ app works MUCH BETTER than recent reviews describe. Use case: I created independent FAQs on each page (10+ pages), displaying one category on each page respectively. The FAQ works on both desktop and mobile, but I had to definitely fix the formatting on mobile (otherwise, it looks like it's blank on mobile). You have to manage FAQs via the dashboard view, but not a big deal. You can easily change the order of categories and even individual questions within each category. You can customize text (colors, style, size, etc.) as well as the background. You can also include lots of different media (image, video, audio, etc) within each answer, except you cannot embed maps or custom HTML. At the time of this writing, you can only link to full website URLs and cannot link to pages within the website. And the FAQ app takes a moment to load in preview mode. Still if you want to create accordion-style FAQs, I highly recommend trying this app.

Functional but limited

It works as intended to manage FAQ except it only seems to work on the website. The whole thing disappeared on the cellphone view. This is very disappointing. Wish that I knew this. Most of the people will access this information on their phones. I created this FAQ for ease of use and whenever they need it. Now I have to find an alternative

Just another half-a$$ed Wix app

The only benefit to this app is that you can manage FAQs in Dashboard instead of in Editor, otherwise you'd be much better off using an Accordion element if you are looking for more design flexibility, but you'd then have to manage your FAQs by editing your website. You could create a CMS collection for FAQs and then connect a Repeater element to your CMS collection to display them on your site, which would give you the most design flexibility, and you could manage your FAQs in Dashboard > CMS. You can also use the Selection Tags element (Add Element > Input) with the Repeater to allow the user to filter FAQs. Another note; you'd have to use Velo code to make the FAQs collapsible in a Repeater. This app also does not generate FAQ schema markup, which you'd think it would, being the Wix FAQ app. The Accordion doesn't either, but the "collapsible list" in blog posts does! Google no longer shows FAQs, however other search engines do. I decided to use CMS.
