    Works well enough, but why doesn't it notify me of comments?

    The comment app was easy to install and I like being able to reply to the comments straight from the dashboard. But why doesn't it notify me when someone leaves a new comment? This seems like an absolute necessity and I'm a bit annoyed that I have only just found out I've got a bunch of comments waiting for replies.

    Useful, but limited in functionality and lacking in documentation

    The app provides basic functionality for adding comments to a blog. I brought about 450 comments over from a WordPress site, planning to reenter the comments using the app's UI. The reCaptcha made that unrealistic. What is lacking: - The ability for commentors to subscribe or follow threads or posts they are interested in or have contributed to. - An option to visually display the full tree of replies rather than putting all replies in a thread into one list where you have to figure out who is replying to what by following links. - The ability to import comments from Json or even csv, or at least documentation of how the app uses the Comments API/SDK so you can roll your own import.

    Please please we need to be notified for all the comments

    Please add a notification for all comments that we receive on all pages. It's hard for us to engage with customers if there are none. Replies notifications to customers and from us too.

    Needs to be able to add the reviews to CMS collection

    Its great, but it should be possible to ad the ratings to the cms collection, so users can filter by pages with a specific rating

    Great but need to get notified of new comments

    Great potential! REALLY need the option to get notified of new comments though. By email or preferably text. Also would be great if I could control the font and color of the text labels.

    Good but no notifications

    Overall, I like the app and the comment sections look good. However, I'd love to see a notification feature that notifies users whose uploaded content (e.g. a dynamic page with comments on it) has been commented on. You should also be notified if someone replied to your own comments. If these functions were implemented, it'd be a 5 stars app for me!

    No push or other notifications?

    Comments is not very engaging. i cant find any settings that allows comments to come to you phone by push settings. I have to manually check. This should be essential.

    Doesn't work in mobile view

    Unfortunately it's not possible to publish comments on mobile. Publish button doesn't respond (even when anonymous commenting is allowed)

    I like this app more than the other Comment app options!

    My site REQUIRES a comment section. And I need people to supply a name (or alias) even when they're commenting as a guest. I see, from this comment thread, that you have been planning to add this 'required guest name' feature. Could you please tell me when this feature will be added so I can plan when to launch my site? Thanks!!

    Starred reviews don't show on Google

    Starred reviews should appear on Google. This would be a great step forward for the product in Apps. Secondly, it should be activated for review on services as well.

    Good but photo uploads not working

    Just tried this and it seemed to work fine - but visitors can't add photos (says "file not uploaded") in their comments, and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this. Viewers can add GIFs and other files, so accessibility isn't an issue - maybe the file uploader? I'd love to know more about troubleshooting this issue.

      Thank you for your review! Currently, we do not allow non registered members to add photos or media, since it was a feature that spammers abused with malicious content. However, we do agree that the presentation of it is not optimal and should be fixed! We will try to find the best solution to allow users to post legit content, but prevent spam from getting published as well. Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it!

    More Customisation is Needed!

    It does the job well but a few additional features would be great: 1. Required Name: - create a mandatory 'name' field for people who write comments as 'guest' appears unprofessional. 2. Collapse to 1-2 Comments - Currently, you can only collapse your comments section to 5 comments minimum, therefore, my website requires A LOT of scrolling. Please can this number be reduced to 2 comments, ASAP! 🙏🏻 3. 'Write a Review' - only appearing once! - Currently the 'Write Review' box appears above and below the comments. Customisation to choose one or the other would declutter the appearance. 4. 'Read More' Function on Comments - Long comments appear in their entirety, therefore, excessive scrolling is sometimes needed. Custom code which automatically collapses long comments (e.g. 4-5 lines +) would be very helpful! 🙏🏻

    NEEDS A LOT OF WORK

    THE THOUGHT OF THE COMMENT SECTION IS NICE. VERY NICE APPEARANCE NICE REPLY SET UP, HOWEVER WHY DON'T THE COMMENTS POST? WHY ARE "MEMBERS" WHO COMMENT HAVE A FOLLOW BUTTON? WHY DO WIX THINK MY PRIVATE WEBSITE IS A SOCIAL NETWORKING PLATFORM?"FOLLOW? WHY? WHY DON'T THE COMMENTS SHOW UP ON THE MOBILE? ONLY THE DESKTOP?. WHY IS PUBLISHING SO SLOW AND TEDIOUS.? WHEN PEOPLE COMMENT THEY'RE NOT LOOKING FOR A COMPLICATED REVIEWING EXPERIENCE THAT'S ENOUGH REASON TO TAKE A STAR OFF. ALSO WHY DON'T THE STAR RATING SHOW UP? THERE IS A LOT OF SMALL CHANGES THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN TO MAKE THIS AN EFFECTIVE COMMENT SECTION. ALSO WHY ARE RANDOM PEOPLE ABLE TO SEE WHEN SOMEONE SIGNED UP WHY IS THAT THEIR BUSINESS?     Unable to add photos or files

    If one is using this app on their cell phone, you're unable to add photos, which is a huge issue. And you can't upload files. You can upload videos. Once I'm able to upload photos via my cell, this would be a 5 star app.
